I challenge you to find another thread where I suggested that Nintendo should go third party (or to be actually accurate: suggest that Nintendo shouldn't ignore the idea of going third party)

Passing someone off as biased is the easy way to go about those things, why don't you try the other route of explaining to me why what I said is wrong?

I have a good tip for you DerNebel! If you really want to play Nintendo games, don't go around waiting for Nintendo to go third party! It's bound to happen someday but it's faaaaar from the near future! I recommend you spend some money on their consoles to play them!

But if you really don't want to spend a dime on those consoles you could just emulate them! Either way there are better ways to play them rather than wait for them to appear in your console of choice!

Challenge not accepted. I'm not going through 3522 post to find that ( I don't have the 2 hours to do that either). Might have been someone else to be honest. Someone on here keeps suggesting it and your name was pretty close to it.  

To tell the facts though, Nintendo hasn't ignored that idea. They have flat out rejected it and said if Nintendo would, Metroid, Zelda, Mario etc would all be retired and new franchises would be made for those consoles. The idea of having Zelda on a platform other than Nintendo is pretty laughable. 

And the fact that Nintendo has rejected the idea makes it a bad one? I mean, lets be honest here, not every decision a company makes is necessarily a good one. Like I said above, I'm not really waiting for it, but could you give me one reason for why a Zelda release on for example the PS4,X1 and PC would be worse than an exclusive release on the Wii U, from a financial as well as a quality perspective?

I don't even have the cash to buy a PS4 right now and that has a way higher priority for me personally, I might get a used Wii U for Zelda at one point, if I can get one for 150€ or something.

Also I do emulate some of their old games from time to time.

And finally, I'm not really waiting for them to go third party, I'm saying that I see it as a viable possibility that the company shouldn't ignore, it's not like I think it'll happen in the next couple years or something.

We already have a good example of a company that became third party and... it isn't a pretty example. (Sega) It might happen in the future but... it isn't a good option for Nintendo.

It would be more expensive to make the game and port it to different systems and Nintendo would not make as much money per game sold.

Those things could be compensated through the bigger potential base of people to sell the game to and the general non existence of money sinking consoles, also as far as I heard it's pretty easy and cheap to port between the X1, PS4 and PC.

People can still buy the games now. Maybe theres not that much interest in Nintendo games anymore...?
