I watched through Yuki Yuna is a Hero and I'm surprised this show isn't more popular. Its a post-Madoka magical girl show, but it manages to be its own thing and it is really interesting. A lot of great work was done with foreshadowing and the twists were all well done. The end was a bit of a deus ex machina and didn't hold the same high standard the rest of the show did, but I don't think it really brought it down. Its still a must watch for fans of the genre imo.

Punchline continues to be interesting. It's pretty much impossible to predict. I have no idea what's going to happen next.

Ore Monogatari somehow has the ability to bring me to edge of tears pretty much every episode.

It was alright. I felt it sort of copped out at the end. The fanservice in the show kind of rubs me the wrong way since it misses the point of a madoka-like show. I think in DVD+BD sales, it did fairly above normal.

The end was a disappointment. However, I think the fanservice was very much in the style of traditional magical girl shows and shows like this are designed to play around your expectations and the traditional themes of those types of shows. I think for the most part the fan service worked well and to me it never felt out of place or over the top. Do you remember any specific instances that you thought were too much?

The magical girl anime I've seen tended to not really accentuate that girls have boobs. so when they take the girl who can't use her legs, and have her boobs jiggle quite regularly and give her ass shots, it really left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm pretty sure there were other examples too but it's been months since I've seen the show

Oregairu 2 continues to be anime of the year... even if they've started to rush it off. Ore monogatari is also high up. Danmachi could be third for me but I'll wait and see.

My main problem with Etotama is that I really don't care if Nya-tan gets what she wants or not.  She just isn't a very sympathetic character for me.  I like most of the other Zodiac characters more.  In episode 9, especially, I was rooting against her, as Piyo-tan is much more interesting.

Not for me.  I haven't cared for the pacing at all.  There were three or four episodes where nothing was happening.  Everything kind of looped and nothing was advanced.  Now I get the feeling it's going to fly through the truly important moments like they didn't exist.

DanMachi, Ore Monogatari, Euphonium, and Punchline have been my favorites this season, though a lot of stuff has been above average.  It's been a good season.

3 or 4 episodes where nothing has happened seriously? I'm pretty sure you can't be watching the same anime as me or you've been missing the point of some episodes. Volume 9 which was just covered is a very important part in the LN that brings a lot of character development for the main characters, I really enjoyed seeing their growth and I'm going to enjoy reading through it right now. Its also nto flying through the important parts, unless right now you're a Yui shipper (it has skipped some yukino moments though).
