The Media once again hammering Nintendo. Just to insure that no one buys a Wii U, they are broadcasting as wide as possible that it will be obselete soon. Microsoft really have hit a new low.

Ok honest question: How would be place this among the gen?

It would either:

1. Start from 0 sales in the 8th gen and be that much in last place since X1 and PS4 have a year head start. Not favourable for Nintendo or their online forum warriors.

2. Prematurely start the 9th gen, which means Nintendo will have.....at least 5 years of a head start

The honest answer is an honest question: Do you really believe that an all-new home console is the most likely option when it comes to new Nintendo hardware?

I personally don't think so. But am going on the hypothesis that it is. I would personally pick #1: Xbox and PS fans wouldn't allow a 9th gen to start so soon. Well keep it in the 8th and make them start over.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Coming from the most recent Nintendo Voice Chat podcast...

"We've heard rumors that Nintendo might be showing hardware at E3." - IGN editor Jose Otero

"They're absolutely going to show new hardware this year. No doubt in my mind that something... 'Cause I've heard from multiple people now. I've heard from someone who used to be at Nintendo; I've heard it from somebody on the third-party front." - Peer Schneider

You need to update your OP and Title. Nintendo confirmed this morning that there will be NO hardware reveiled at E3.

Well, remind me not to count Peer Schneider's sources as super reliable in the future.

This is just corporate speak for the fact that the unveiling will be done during the digital event and they won't be demoing on floor at E3. How COULD they demo Nintendo OWL in a showroom, guys?!

He had his sources. Usually Peer is pretty acurate. But I don't know what nintendo counts as hardware, because in that NVC, they were talking about maybe a pro controller or something.

Since Wii U and 3DS are underperforming, any revision would have to be a mass market appeal attempt too (e.g. DS Lite/PS3 Slim), and require a stage.

this is wrong cuz XL+2DS wasnt on a stage but at Normal Directs

And did they successfully expand the market?

Yes they did lol, where have you been?

Edit: I still disproved your point, dont make this another argument now.

No you haven't. The 2DS and XL do not exist.

Actually the title could still end up correct. Ninteno only said they are not announcing any hardware at E3, it could still happen some other time this year. :-p
