Not trying to be nasty here...

How can anyone in their right mind watch wrestling and take it seriously?

Actually, how can anyone watch it at all if they're over 12 years old?

Oh and the movies and TV shows you watch are all real and not scripted, right?

Around the Network

It was Hogan for the longest time, but these days if you showed 100 kids a picture of Hogan and The Rock more of them would recognize The Rock.

Hogan

I was walking down along the street and I heard this voice saying, "Good evening, Mr. Dowd." Well, I turned around and here was this big six-foot rabbit leaning up against a lamp-post. Well, I thought nothing of that because when you've lived in a town as long as I've lived in this one, you get used to the fact that everybody knows your name.

No one else compares to Andre. Most people watching now are too young to remember what it was like when he was around. No one has ever had as big an impact on the industry. Not Bruno, Hogan, Austin, or The Rock.

Think about the most significant moment in pro wrestling history. It was Hogan Vs. Andre. That match was what made Wrestlemania so important. And without Andre coming back to put Hogan over, pro wrestling and Wrestlemania as we know it wouldn't mean nearly as much. So quickly people forget the history of things.

Without a doubt, it's Sting.

Around the Network

Hulk Hogan made wrestling explode. Andre the Giant was an attraction, yes. Sammartino, Pedro Morales, Bob Backlund and those guys were beloved. Austin was the biggest star of wrestling's greatest era (imo). The Rock was my favorite wrestler for the brief time he wresteled. Bret Hart is my favorite of all time. HBK may be the best of all time, and Undertaker is the embodyment of what people think a wrestler should be.

Hogan is the man, though. Not as a technical wrestler and not as a good guy. I think he's a piece of shit sometimes. But in terms of wrestling, he's THE wrestler. Nobody will ever be more well know for wrestling than he is. Your grandma doesn't know who HBK, Austin, HHH, or CM Punk are. She knows Hulk Hogan.

The Rock, at this point, is probably more known for being an actor than a wrestler. Hogan, if you ask me, is known for his stint in wrestling.

...mostly because his acting has been horrific.

Macho Man Randy Savage. You don't see The Rock, Hulk Hogan, or Stone Cold Steve Austin getting mods on multiple PC games.

John Cena, soley because of this.
