God I cant stand Yuna and Tidus DX

Not even the best game/games in the series.

To me yuna is one of the best female protagonists in games ever and good OP.

BTw funny stuff isee in jrpg fans, they see someone expressing love for a jrpg they dont like and they take it like an offense to their favourite ones, same case with peeople that say ff 7 is their favourite rpg and then is hate and more hate.

Final Fantasy X's primary strength is Sphere Grid. It is, by far, the best and most player involved level-up system in any RPG I played. Weapon Customization is arguably my favorite in the genre as well. Overall I think the pre-battle setup is really well designed.

But the game still had its "annoying" weaknesses, The music and characters have taken a step backwards, especially compared to Final Fantasy IX. The story is excellent but the direction could've been so much better. It had many of these awkwardly directed moments that leave you weird and unconvinced.

As for Final Fantasy X-2.. Jesus Christ I hated that game! Gameplay system albeit nice is unambitious. The rest = hideous. Yuna and Rikku downgraded themselves from likeable to disgusting. Wakka is a damsel in distress who can't stand to protect his own arse! "Step back Wakka-chan! Charlie's Angels are here to save ya!" -_-

Maybe FFX not sure about FFX-2, even though I enjoyed playing it as well. ^^

Yuna is a very good female char by JRPG standards. Honelstly the only female chars I have ever liked better in an RPG is Marle from Chrono Trigger (could have a lot to do with Chrono Trigger being the 1st true RPG I ever played) Garnett(the male lead was my least fav FF main ever in IX) from FFIX was solid. IMO Aeris from 7 was totally overrated.

I have not played FF X for over 10+ years. I need to get it for the PS3.....

I really like Final Fantasy X, but it's still a poor man's Final Fantasy XIII to me.

You are kidding right? FFX is so much better than FFXIII its not even funny. Better lore, better characters, better story, better combat system. FFXIII is also the only FF game where Summons are completely not worth using like....ever.

Opinion.

I prefer the summons in FFXIII, they were an expensive last resort to prevent death. They didn't render the rest of the party useless and you couldn't abuse them to plough through all the hard bosses in the latter half of the game.

I personally think they got the summons just right in FF12 and went a step to far in nerfing them for 13.

I loved Final Fantasy X (not so much with X-2) and am glad it's getting recognition now. When it came out it was getting FF XIII levels of hate from most "core gamers".

What does Yuna have to do with anything.

The real meat in FFX is the post-game stat maxing and that's best done with Tidus, Wakka and Rikku

I've just got to the end of the game in 38 hours (I did get distracted for a few hours when I got the airship to do some hunting, Caldabolg (I probably spent an hour on that stupid chocobo mini-game), Godhand and Attack Reels). But I know I've probably got another 80 hours if I want to do everything and beat Pennance

Wha? Yuna is insta kill switch. I walk into a Boss Fight..... Yuna Aeon.....Overkill WIN!!! She is pretty much a necessity when it comes to extra dungeon/boss content in the game. There is no one more essential. By the time I was at Via Purifico(not that far after obtaining Rikku and going to HOME) my Yuna learned Steal and Use, making her even more useful.

I am a power leveler so maybe thats why I just stomp over everything along the story (and I know the strategies like the back of my hand still).

Aeons aren't fun. I did use them for much of the game and I did keep my discipline in terms of swapping everyone in and out for a while, but TWR are the way to go. Anyway, despite not having a BDL weapon, Attack Reels does a solid 120,000 damage! That's a proper kill switch, Mega Flare's still in the 20-30k region, a properly executed Blitz Ace (full health with Caldabolg) does more already

I'm going for Pennance, so that means primarily powering Tidus, Wakka and Rikku. I'll level up the others at some point for the trophy. But for me, i've just got a lot of bliztball to play and a lot of capturing to do

I disagree. Final Fantasy X isn't the best JRPG on PS2, let alone one of the best of all time. In fact, I would say it's not even the best Final Fantasy on PS2.

wha? I find people's hatred for FFX completely suprising at times. Do tell why this game is lessor than FFXII?(I like XII, just wouldn't put it above X for me).

Yuna and comany were all really strong characters to me. They all had their personal reasons that made them invested in Tidus and Yuna's journey. Combat was some of turnbase's finest work. And Sphere Grid was a really good non linear progression system. And then there is the game lore which very few gams get as in detailed as this one.
