Why would go there to get games? Games are cheaper here even after tax. |
Because they usually have better sales and games are starting to cost 69.99 here, whereas in the States you can find the same games for 59.99. Depends I guess.

Yeah, PS4 games have started selling for $69.99. I guess we should expect that this will be the new standard price from now on, but only PS4 games cost that much. For now, PS4 games are cheaper in the States, but all other games are cheaper here when they are released.

Exactly I'll either go to the States to buy games or order from Amazon, unless they changed the price as well.
Found this thread in page 5. I remember when MS raised 360 prices in UK a few years ago and everybody lost their shit. When Sony does it, it is quietly swept under the rug.
I am just going to say it: MS is not raising their prices in Canada. X1 is $499 and games are $59. Sony increased prices of games too by 10 to $69. Sony is taking advantage of winning and therefore the consumer. MS keeps prices the same and gives away Titanfall with the console purchase.
The loser always gives out better deals and the winner gets greedy. Not even Sony is immune to this.
Living in Canada the past few years, it does sadden me to see the Canadian dollar drop the way it has. I hope it bounces back soon.
Thanks jlmurph!

Most of your points are spot on with regards to HW since MS is eating that cost, if the loonie falls further down that maybe subject to change. However, on the software front games will be $69.99 for both systems. Titanfall did not raise up to that price since it was locked in at $59.99 but through out the year you'll see $69.99 for the majority of games. Any games that are listed as $59.99 will be adjusted up to the $69.99 rate as they get closer to release. Our dollar is in the toilet!

Ah well the games seem to be a retailer thing to recoup the dollar falling. But at least for hardware, MS is keeping X1 at $499, which is very ironic indeed
