He is probably talking about Europe because I seen units where I live for a month now. Europe was really uh stocked but USA from friends/Facebook seems very much in stock.

PS4s have been preorder only items here in Australia. Since months before launch the initial shipment was sold out and every shipment since then sells out before they reach the shelves. I finally caved and preordered mine for a March shipment

Seems to be about right. It's "generally" sold out, as in for the most part, but not "completely". I'm pretty sure it's available at spotty areas around the country....like here. 3 PS4s have been in my Target for several days, 2 at Walmart, though there are a lot of One's that have been laying there. At least it's not as difficult to find PS4s as they were in December....not hard at all to find Boans though, they're EVERYWHERE! O_o

I have not seen any PS4 at all in Norway since the launch.
I guess Sony are still fulfilling the preorders.
I preordered mine before summer 2013 and got it on launch day.

when i re bought mine last week i had to go to a few stores and when i found one it was the last in stock although the production date on the console is 12/13

Our Sony rep told us that they should be readily available by the end of January or early February...he has since said that it will probably be another couple of weeks.

They take about a month to ship.

I've yet to see a PS4 in stores, but most places have them online.

Heck, I´ve only seen a couple of PS4 for sale on some stores and they were sold pretty fast. And I´ve only seen them for sale several weeks after the PS4 was released.
