See if you actually hit the links I provided, it's a catalog of sales from all the consoles from this site. All you have to do is look to the right and look at the sales of each console, when you find the console your looking for, look all the way to the right for combined sales.

Now I don't know how much easier I can make this for you.

This will be my last post. I'm not teaching a class on VGchartz and shouldn't have to.

If you need someone to go slower and give some more explanation, Please ask someone else.

This is delusional. No device this generation will reach 100 million units sold lifetime. Not even the PS4.

First sensible post I've read here.  I'm done with this fanboy fueled crap though ...

Seems reasonable considering growth in the overall market should be anywhere from 10-20% not sure if xbone will make it that high, it doesnt have quite the global reach as sony but 70-80 million for xb1 is certainly realistic.

There's no big casual attraction that the Wii had in 7th gen for either system. And the PS2 controlled the 3rd party market in gen 6, had US dominated and was on the market for 12 years. Neither consoles fit the criteria to hit the same level as Wii or PS2.

Agreed.

Not only that, but, no matter if people like this or not, overall videogame console (home + handheld) business has been declining since 2008. And this is not only because of "the end of a generation", it´s also due to the lost of millions of "casual" consumers / family games consumers.

For both consoles reach those numbers we should expect the market to get at least a little rise or keep its 2013 status. Unfortunately, companies are miserably failing in getting new consumers, because the average "casual' gamer is now way more interested in tablets, phones and Pc´s  than game consoles. The decrease in sales of such huge series like Just Dance and Wii Fit shows that.

There´s no reason, at least for now, to think that business will have a rise in 2014 and beyond. So I dont believe either device will reach 100 million, although I see Ps4 getting very close. If Sony comes up with some interesting (and cheap) idea for the casuals, it may reach it.
