Thanks Hiksa-kun.

Now, this are huge digital sales:

18. [WIU] Dragon Quest X: Nemureru Yuusha to Michibiki no Meiyuu Online (Square Enix) {2013.12.05} (¥3.990) – 80.235 (49.920) / 130.155

Nintendo digital sales are rather good, wasn't really expecting that. Well shortages drive people towards digital, but still, quite impressive.

So pokemon XY sold 33k digitally in October and 18k in december, think it's easy to say, digital sales for this game are extremely low.

vgchartz has to be undertracking this game by atleast 1.5million

your dmn right! I could even see eShop Ranking and Pokemon X or Y hasnt surpassed 100k so its low considering pokemon xy 11.6mil figure. Tell ioi!!!

That´s really strange. According to the last financial statements, Pokemon have sold almost 2 million more than what Vgchartz says. Of course the difference is on digital sales. Those famitsu numbers are tottally off, or the game is hugely undertracked

so even Vita does not a have a huge digital market....

anyway glad to see DQX on Wii U there

Maybe the huge digital sales for that title could be that is an expansion. The people already bought the first version (because is needed to play this expansion), so they only need to upload, and maybe they prefered to do it digital.

The awaited Famitsu Top 30 including digital. Famitsu gives 3 figures for each title. First, retail sales (also includes download codes), then digital sales (on parenthesis), finally the total sales for the month. So it combines the first two figures.

There're two thing I don't understand, Famitsu included week 1, 2014 in this ranking. So, I don't know how they will show the next one. Second, November digital sales are nowhere to be found. Can somebody contact with Famitsu and ask about it (or share a contact mail)?

Here September and October figures:

We can start to add digital sales for titles like Monster Hunter, Pokemon, Animal Crossing and so others. Too bad there's the november gap. :(

Thanks a lot Hiska.  I'll edit these into my first two posts and throw a link to your GAF posts when I get a chance.

I'd really, really like to see November numbers too, though.  Was a pretty eventful month for releases and since we've got all the numbers surrounding it, would be really nice to see.

Hmm. It would be great to know digital sales for 3D World..

Have you seen my post?

[WIU] Super Mario 3D World (Nintendo) {2013.11.21} (¥5.985) – 324.165 (5.538) / 329.703

Amazing digital sales. In Japan digital only matters when there're stock problems. That's why in september digital sales for MH4 were huge (stock problems). And that's why in december, Zelda, Final Fantasy, Attack on Titan or Dragon Quest for Wii U have a good amount of digital sales. Because they were sold out.

When the game is available on retail, digital sales are low.

In this case Youkai Watch may do well in the January ranking, depending on how well L-5 manage the stock situation

Indeed, plus I believe that vanilla DQX sold well digitally due to discounts, so many people already had the standalone game digitally, in which case it would be a little odd to have just the expansion on disc

Wait, are these download card numbers...Famitsu doesn't track digital sales but they do track DL Cards

EDIT: I am very confused ^.^

I don't think so these seem like 'proper' digital numbers, i.e. people sitting at home downloading games without going anywhere near a shop. DL Cards are in the bigger retail numbers I assume

Famitsu includes download cards in their physical sales.  These are pure digital sales.

In my second post, I bolded the digital sales and italic'd the physical sales.  I'll do the same for the first post shortly.
