Forums - Gaming Discussion - Why is Xbox One portrayed as the "COD Console" when the game is actually selling more on the PS4?

I could never understand this. Why is Xbox One known as The Call Of Duty console when in fact COD Ghosts sold more on the PS4 as of now. But we still hear that it's more popular on the Xbox One; I think it's a myth. COD is just as popular on Playstation as it is on Xbox.

I actually prefer the Xbox One but can't seem to understand why people still say this. I mean it might have been true in 2007-09. Not anymore.

What do you think?

I trust no one, not even myself.

I could ask a similar question. Why are Vita and Wii U portrayed as systems with no games when they both have good games?

As far as im aware CoD was always more popular on X360 than PS3 so yeah, not so long.

@Op -  I havent heard one person say this about the XBO and PS4.  Most people just say Ghosts isnt good and moves on.  As of this very moment all you can say is that CoD is selling more on PS4 than XBO, primarily because the european market, week headstart,  30+ markets compared to 13, 3.4m vs 2.5m etc Whether or not this continues in coming years is something we will have to wait and see.

It is no secret tha PS4 has had the best launch, it is to be expected that Multiplat games would be selling more on a console with 900k more consoles in the wild.

But again i havent heard one person say that XBO is a CoD console.

The xbox brand has been the shooter console. That all changed when the PS4 launched with Killzone: Shadow Fall, a 1080P version of COD:Ghost, and a higher rez 900P version of Battlefield 4.

Because most people realize the consoles have been out barely more then a month. LOGIC.
