Well, I'm at work for about three more hours. In the meantime, I gots questions:

1. What happens to my friend code? Is it still a thing?
2. Do all of my 3DS friends (all 97 of them) transfer over?
3. What if some of them haven't updated?
4. Do I need to re-enter my credit card, e-mail, etc?
5. I'm still part of the Deluxe Digital promotion. Do 3DS eShop sales count towards Wii U?
6. Does every game have its own community or just a chosen few?
7. Is it fast and smooth or is it laggy?
8. Why can't Metroid crawl?
9. Can I view 3DS communities/pics on a Wii U and vice versa?

Thanks in advance!

Wish there was a way to only see friends' posts. Or to reply to posts, for that matter. What's the point in asking a question if you'll never know whether you got an answer?

You can reply to posts.  Just click on the post you want to comment on and then reply in the box below the post.  It was the first thing I did!

*edit* though I DID have the 3DS and Wii U running at the same time.  I replied to a Link Between Worlds post.  I may have done it on the Wii U.  Better check before I get your hopes up too high.

*edit* Yeah, I checked.  You can reply to any post or even have a conversation.  Just click the first post and go from there.  And if you only want to see friend's posts, just "Follow" them like on Twitter.  When you click Activity Feed, you'll only see the activity of those you want to follow.  Miiverse has ya covered!

I can answer 7.  On my 3ds it was kind of laggy, there was a lag time between my presses and the response that it was loading the page.  Additionally some pages take a bit to indicate that it's trying to load another page.  It's usable but  It's definitely not comparable to the Wii U version as far as smootheness and speed goes.

For me, it wasn't laggy.  I have a feeling this might be a question of your personal Internet speed and/or connection.

have you used it on the Wii U?  It stuttered quite a bit on my 3ds.  it's usable but there is a definite lag when using it.  I used it for about an hour last night.

I haven't used it for a while yet on my Wii U.  However, I can tell when something is laggy, and it isn't on my 3DS.  The only thing is long loading times.  It's responsive for me, at least.

Didn't know you could now shared the balance between the Wii U and 3DS, that's awesome.

I think there's a problem with this though...my club Nintendo account is set in the U.S (I made it way before I had a 3DS) and my Nintendo ID is set in Canada (long story short, the reason for this is that my credit card doesn't work in the U.S, but it does work in Canada) and if Nintendo is kind enough to give me money I don't think I will be able to use that money. When Nintendo gave me the $30 for SMT IV I had to change the region on my 3DS to the U.S and used it on that eshop, but I don't think it is possible now.

I guess I could make a new Club Nintendo account set in Canada, but I have to use all the coins that I currently have.

Nintendo and PC gamer

I'm happy this update went live, I was waiting for it so I could avoid buying any points cards for the 3DS as I have funds on my Wii U account.

Aside from fund sharing the L+R to launch camera is the best part of this update. I've only had my 3DSXL for around three weeks and I've launched the camera by accident at least a dozen times in that time.

I occasionally browse Miiverse but never actually post to it on the Wii U so I doubt I'll be using it here either.
