I'm not sure why some people are hating on the combat. Several journalists that played the latest build of Ryse at Microsft's recent 10 game media preview event came away impressed by the improvements to the combat since E3, several described it as a cross between Batman Arkham and Assassin's Creed as far as combat goes, two series with mostly praised combat engines.

And several did not praise it. Just see this thread:

Several of my favorite journalists, whose opinions I've grown to trust, came away impressed by the combat changes. That's good enough for me. If there full reviews are good, I'll definitely pick up Ryse sometime.

I can respect that. But you claimed that you're not sure why some people are hating on the combat and then went ahead to say several journalists praised it. I simply showed that it is... decisive to say the least.

Well, you raise an interesting point, and I actually mentioned as much recently when making my Ryse metacritic prediction on another thread. I think that Ryse is going to be a very critically polarizing game. I get the feeling that we're going to see some 8's and 9's from some critics, maybe even one perfect 10 from a huge fan of Rome, and then we're going to see some 5's and 6's from others, maybe evenone 4. It's going to be one of those hate it or love it games I think. We'll just have to wait and see. One thing's for sure, preorders are decent so far, it's looking like it's going to hit at least 130,000 preorders here in the US before launch.

Ryse and GoW arent even comparable... thats like talking about a steak you bougjt at a grocery store compared to kobe beef

Kobe beef is the Fosters of Japanese beef. They export it because no one in Japan will eat it. Now if we are talking about Matsuzaka beef, then you have my attention.

Look at the marble on that. Best beef I have ever tasted. About $125 USD per pound.

Call of Duty with Swords, Call of Duty with Jet Packs... yeah... have fun with that.

What are you even trying to say? I didn't know that Ryse had Jet Packs.....
