Thanks for the warning moderation.
Evil smeags sounds sexy.

It's my pleasure.

Anyways, I'd like to take a moment of silence for the games that didn't make it this year.

(Placings are from last year's list)

Batman: Arkham Asylum (PC/PS3/X360)
WarCraft II: Tides of Darkness/Beyond the Dark Portal (PC)
Paper Mario (N64/Wii)
TimeSplitters 2 (GCN/PS2/Xbox)
Super Mario Sunshine (GCN)

All amazing games, but just missed out.

I've never done this before, but it seems very fun, so I'll do my very best to join this time!

Yeah, Paper Mario and SMS didn't make my list either. :/

I shall mourn for some other lost souls who might've made it into a top 60 or 75 list...
Tales of Symphonia (GC)
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (DS)
Spyro the Dragon (PS1)
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PS2)
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (GBA)
FTL: Faster Than Light (PC)
Final Fantasy IX (PS1)

There are 2 "new" entries on my list this year, that is, games that I purchased from last November through the deadline this year, but a number of old games, under my new system of evaluation, clawed their way up, 5 games total were eliminated from the old 50, so 3 games became big winners under my new system, here I list the 5 that fell:

1) Bomberman 64: Last year 31, under the new system, it ranked 74th of 75 candidate games I evaluated (only EarthBound was weaker). It lost due to cheap-o difficulty in the single player and the kind of bad production values that plagued early N64 games, as well as the fact that it took a long time for me to really figure out the game against more intuitive games on the list

2) Goldeneye 007: Yeah, i know, sacrilege. The multiplayer was never really sacred to me (i was never any good at Goldeneye's multiplayer: always got beat). The replayability of the single player was its only saving grace, as it was a game I was slow to warm up to initially, and the game too suffers from production values problems. Last year it was 23, this year 64 of 75 games evaluated, tied with Metroid II, Kirby's Return to Dreamland, and Toe Jam & Earl

3) Wii Sports Resort: What hurt the game's chances was the "objective score", not because it's poorly-designed per se, but just because I didn't enjoy about half the sports (wakeboarding and especially basketball come to mind). It was 34, now it's in a multi-way tie for 58th place, along with two other games of the Loser Five, plus No More Heroes 2, Mario Kart DS, and Kirby Air Ride

4) The Last Story: A game that wowed me effectively in the beginning (part of why it made the list last year), but that i don't have much desire to replay, and was only good, not great, on a technical level. Last year 47, now tied with Wii Sports Resort and number 5 on this list

5) Super Mario 3D Land: The first half of the game was too easy by far, which left me feeling underwhelmed out of the gate. It had a very strong late-game, but not strong enough to bring it up. Tied with Wii Sports Resort and The Last Story (and others), old rank 49

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Oh shit I forgot to make a list
*grabs paper*

Also, unlike the name of this game, number 50 did not have any upward mobility in my list from last year.

Too easy. It's Kid Icarus: Uprising.

Bingo.

Urgh. I'm not sure I'll be able to make it tonight. People screwed me at the University and now I have tons of homework (Which I'm doing right now, while I enjoy some minutes at VGChartz, if you were wondering why I wasn't working :P). I'll try my best to come up with the list I'm more comfortable with.
