Why is it NSMB style? It doesn't resemble the style of the game at all, it looks more like SM Bros 3 in 3D (as did SM 3D Land) which isn't a bad thing at all.

Why is it NSMB style? It doesn't resemble the style of the game at all, it looks more like SM Bros 3 in 3D (as did SM 3D Land) which isn't a bad thing at all.

Many of the backgrounds are almost identical to NSMBU. It re uses a lot of the textures, backgrounds, and enemies from NSMB, NSMB2, NSMBWii, NSMBU, and SM3DL. The style is heavily fatigued IMO.

I feel this way as well. Nintendo's behavior the past couple years and decision making has been utterly baffling to me. The half assing of 2d Mario games (which is a stronger seller unequivocally) while the majority of freshness and resources go to 3d mario which has a much lower sales baseline makes no sense. 

Further, it creates hostility within the fan base which I think will cause 3d World to sell maybe less than sunshine. 

It's funny cause years ago I couldn't see anything get in the way of Mario and his sales domination. Leave it to Nintendo to prove me wrong and be the very source of it no less.  I hope it does better than Sunshine. Competition is really healhty for the industry.  Thank god Pokemom, Smash and Mario Kart seem to still hold thier audiences and haven't been put through the ringer as such. If they ever start getting consumer hostile with those series it could really mean bad things for even Nintendo's domination in the handheld arena as well which is also generally thought of as iron clad.

Well, there is a difference, it's just very minimal. I am able to see it because we game a lot.

I have friends who don't notice the difference between 720p and 1080p, which i find very weird. But normal people are like that, WE are the freaks here i'm afraid lol

But haven't you heard how 3D World is super lazy with nothing but reused art assets and have an awful artstyle compared to the glorious Galaxy games? According to some people they look completely different and are nothing alike:p

Those Galaxy pics are from Dolphin  most likely 1080p.
