What does it matter if Gore won the popular vote? Electoral votes are what this country is founded on and for good reason, it gives all states a chance to be heard, thus the United States. And just because he recieved the popular vote doesnt mean he couldve handled 9/11 better. I guarantee we would not have went into Afghanistan if he was in office, and Al Quada would still have it under its grasps. Theres a reason why the media never says anything about Afghanistan, because it is a better place now and who wants to hear the good news right?

 Not to be offensive or anything but Democratic Presidents are known recently for their lack of response in times of conflicts. Look at Clinton and Jimmy Carter. I would rather have Dubya take care of things immediately than pussy foot around.

I dont believe he actually invented the internet or global warming, but brandishing both to make ourself appeal more is idiotic. We all knew about global warming before him, but I guess a couple of polar bears can really make yourself understand right.

Here in europe is Afghanistan regularly in the media. For the ongoing fights, for terrorists attacks, for ongoing Taliban influence and for the record year for drug-farmers. Admitted, Iraq makes it to the media more often, but Afghanistan has it's media-coverage. As I said, hear in euope. Possibly american media don't cover the failures there. But the US-government knows about that and wants more german troops in Afghanistan.

 You're joking about Afghanistan, right? The *official* government of Afghanistan's power barely extends out of the capital city. Warlords (including Taliban and al-Qaida) control various slivers of the country and Afghanistan still produces about 90 percent of the heroin in the world and the threat of violence is so great that Norway had to evacuate its embassy yesterday.

Afghanistan is STILL the poorest country in Asia and has the third-highest rate of infant mortality in the world.

George Bush is the best Modern day leader the world has ever seen, the US is also the best country the world has ever seen. Most of the people that take these polls are poor liberals, maybe they should get off their asses and work. I live in Canada and i think the US is alot better.

hahaha bush supporters. Seriously, this war is pointless. It doesn't benefit us. I might agree more with a war that wasn't draining us. A war we can win and get the spoils from. But this... its just vietnam all over again. A war we can't win... a waste of energy, resources, and lives. Just replace "communists" with "terrorists"

If you CARED about this country you would be a bit more willing to protect our country where it matters. You know, the things that take place on our own soil. Bush has taken focus off of our own home.

As for the arguments on social issues, Abortion should be legal due to the fact that it is purely a religious debate. The fetus only has a soul at the conception if you are religious. If you aren't religious you would believe it would only be its own individual once its nervous system has developed to levels beyond that of a jellyfish. Partial birth abortion is ALREADY illegal and if an abortion takes place during first trimester to the scientifically thinking people out there that is not murder at all.
