sorry its a Sony link, it was just first one i found, it has the facts of what happend and its easy to ignore the last paragraph saying its a tongue slip lol thats for us to believe ;) |
That seems to be a bit of paraphrasing and interpretation. Reading the original article http://www.psu.com/a020650/PS4-has-huMA-Xbox-One-doesnt-3D-performance-way-better-apparently has some interpretation as well.

I believe the original source from where it started was a german article, so with translation im not surprised if alot of paraphrasing and enterpretation has happend. with the debate of huMA still going on its hard to really bring that into this arguement. I think MS has something like it, they just call it something else.
Just wanted to provide that link :)

Sure thanks, but it still seems to be putting words into AMD's mouth. For instance: http://www.tomshardware.com/news/xbox-one-processor-jaguar-apu-huma,24035.html
Anyway getting back on thread, I believe the point being made by these MS folks is to counteract the outlandish claims of some arbitrary number: such as 50% more CU translates into 50% more powerful and so forth. I see this one bandied around a lot, and while it's clear that the PS4 has some good numbers, the actual performance difference will not be as big as it's made out to be.

apperantly. and the thing is sony isnt even saying anything. its people on forums who are just talking and MS is going bat shit nutts about it. maybe they thought people would buy into "power of the cloud" nonesense but when they didnt and they were mocked about it MS got in a defense position. honestly the best thing they need to do is just shut up about the whole subject

lol "okay" :) Really that statement and a quick look at your post history is already destroying all your credibility! |
Yeah, i feel so insecure.
Specially when i read things like this:
Yeah, i gonna trust in Microsoft words.

Thanx i hadn't seen that where is specifically says huMA, just the reddit guy talking about something similar but was confused by the term huMA. I guess debate closed, im out of the loop.
50% more power is so hard to define as well.. i highly doubt we will see FPS differences of 15-20. but what if the PS4 can do a much better picture, how do you define how nice something looks and then give it a numerical value compared to something else. we are never going to know an exact number lol which means this bickering wont end! MWUAHAHAHA

FWIW I forsee the ongoing difference will be along the lines of the current gen, requiring digital foundry/lens of truth A/B static comparisons and nitpicks to see any real difference. Exclusives will continue to be programmed to the strengths of the hardware but even then it appears the differences aren't so big.

I think some of the Hardcore crowd, and those with perfect 20/20 will be able to spot multiplat differences, otherwise they will be very close. But i disagree on exclusives, i think that is where sony will really shine. the developers are the drivers of this race, and i think sony has that edge. I am all for microsoft to prove me wrong though, it just makes sony try that much harder for us :) but again, how do we say an exclusive shows 50% more power lol

Pc gamers know it's never as simple as just numbers, which is why no one gives a shit except console fanboys. The only metric that matters in the end is frames per second between the two with comparable image quality. Wait till the games and the benchmarks come out then we'll have something to talk about. |
I hate to be that guy, but a 450hp Corvette will be at 500hp mustang in a straight line and around the track. The extra 50hp doesn't make up for the additional weight.
