I couldn't help it but once she entered that cave... all I could think of was Tomb Raider .

They even copied the part of her squeezing into a small opening used to hide load times. I wonder if they also used it to load the next part of the demo?

"I wonder if they also used it to load the next part of the demo?"

Now that would be lulz worthy!

We'll never know.

Please excuse my bad English.

Epic games did make some comments regarding the tech demo and PC even if it is pretty vague.

https://wccftech.com/unreal-engine-5-demo-is-rendering-at-1440p-most-of-the-time-on-ps5-rtx-2070-super-could-run-it-at-pretty-good-performance/

Basically says you don't need Ps5 SSD to run it and 2070 Super will run it pretty well which I am sure most people already knew loll.

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

This thread has gotten a whole lot more active lately...

There has been a lot more hardware stuff with the next gen console, Ryzen Cpus, Intel Cpus, Nvidia GPUs, AMD GPUs so I can see it.

We all know those two have some back room sort of deal going. Timmy doesn't exactly care enough about PC to state that we've got no worries and that we'll be fine. It's better for him to push the new partner-like narrative, that PS5 is where it's at (remember when he claimed consoles were, when he ditched PC eons ago?, and how consoles were doing everything instead of PC), that it's PS5 that's going to push PC, not the fact that Nvidia/AMD were already working on this tech and general advancements beforehand. But knowing timmy's lil noggin, he likes to think one thing leads to another, even if indirectly, like his lil "multi-store world" theory, as if he somehow invented such a world, when it was in fact well and truly established before he came along, and that it's still chugging along.

I wouldn't take anything he says as gospel though. Well aware of his history and what he's got under his belt, but he's also full of shit and bad at PR.

But boy do I just yearn for the day when this industry manages to shake off this weird self imposed rule, where all the devs, all the pubs can't somehow just flat out admit "yeah, PC's are gonna be fine, they'll trump things as they usually do" (because you and I know this, they even do, but they won't pipe up about it due to fear of not getting work with the big 3, and that mentality needs to be killed asap).

off topic: I did notice recently that the Tony Hawk game trailers for PS4/X1 have had the "captured on PC" removed from their respective trailers. Are we really going back to early gen crap again (which to me feels like warring, because they didn't have this issue during the middle of this gen, just at the end/start they seem to repeat omittance of leaving "captured on PC" from trailers).

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

Loll Timmy's gonna Tim.

Consoles do have their benefits to PC in certain ways for sure but what people shouldn't forget is PC hardware pushes itself without help from consoles all the time. If it didn't, why does Nvme SSDs exist? Shouldn't we have stayed with SATA until console overlords gave us Nvme? Why does ray tracing exist with the 2000 series? Why did we have 8 core cpus for how many years now? Those existed even before Ryzen made them affordable... And the list goes on...

The biggest kicker this gen is that unlike last gen where you had Nvidia being in the middle of transition with the infamous 700 series, where you had AMD out of the picture thanks to their FX line of cpus and etc. With this gen, Nvidia, AMD, Intel and Samung/SSD manufactures are all gonna be launching their next generation products probably before the consoles come out. And if the rumours are true... Reality will strike hard!

Just realized I've been an idiot. For some reason I assumed that the demo was running at 4k. That means the PS5 can run this highly optimized demo at 1440p and terrible framerates. Hopefully someone will do a framerate analysis to prove me right.

If by terrible you mean 30 fps. Then yes, it was running at 30fps during the tech demo since that's what DF said in their video.

Maybe I'm just too used to 144fps, but to me it felt like it was dipping below 30 a couple of times.

And you've posted a lot here since your return. That also helped a lot.
