I love how Nintendo trolled there, it's pure genius.
The best part of the Wii Fit Girl is that her final smash is called W Fit, which I somehow find hilarious.

Why these specific choices for characters to cut, might I ask? Just personal preference? Lucas I agree with, since I, for one, think the roster should be purged of the filthy clone character scum, but I'd consider Falco a better choice than Wolf, as the former is much more similar to Fox. Of course, the Melee elitists would haaaate that, but judging by how much this game resembles Brawl based on the little footage we have of it, I wouldn't be shocked to learn that a number of Meleelitists were already determined to hate the game.

Lucario and Ike, as I understand, were simply representatives of the latest installments in their respective franchises, so out with them. I myself wouldn't mind seeing Snake go either, but he is one of the more popular characters, so wouldn't count on it.

On another note, after watching that Developer Direct video in its entirety, Yoga Trainer actually doesn't look half bad.

Different stages on both versions eh?

More and more chance of me buying two versions. I hope they have some sort of connectivity to each other like via multiplayer or transferring of characters (if they do exclusive characters to each version).

Buy both to unlock certain characters and vice versa.

Would be nice lol.

I'm just excited to play Smash Bros. on the train...or anywhere else for that matter :)

funny thing is my rage for her as a new character went down lol. her stage is awesome. love the mirror idea! Game looks amazing

Villager seems OP lol

But a nice addition. I wonder if they'll do a Smash Dojo like site for this series of games.


Sakurai did say that he was going to share 5 screenshots of the games every week. So there might be something similar.

Wolf largely because Falco is sort of grandfathered in (since he wasn't purged immediately, now we're sort of stuck with him).

Snake because he doesn't belong. Kojima got his favor (and repaid us with a ripoff MGS3 remake that had its legs cut off by the HD collection). Time for Snake to go.
