Mario Kart 8 20 11.76%

The Wonderful 101 9 5.29%

Pikmin 3 6 3.53%

Wii Fit U 3 1.76%

Yarn Yoshi 2 1.18%

Sonic: Lost World 7 4.12%

Incredibly smart, Super Mario Bros U and Mario Kart should be priority. They're the games that will win over the general public at a glance.

@einsam dolphin:  The only reason i don't think mario kart will be there is because i haven't heard a single bit of actual news referring to this game.  If it's going to be released this year and i just missed the announcement, then yeah, i could easily see it being at best buy.  If not though.... i'm just don't think nintendo will release any demos to games that still have a year of prodcution to go through.  Just doesn't seem their style to make a work in progress available.

Well, that was just for there being playable demos of the games at E3. We don't officially know what games will be demo'ed at Best Buy yet, but it'd be really silly for Nintendo to not include atleast one of the two.

Horrible idea.

... What? Somebody had to say it!

I'm assuming space wont allow for every demo from E3 to be displayed in each store, so that's possibly why there's only going to be a select few of them. Since I'm sure some Best Buy stores are bigger than others, perhaps the bigger ones will get many demos compared to the smaller ones, but then that wouldn't be fair (granted this whole thing isn't exactly fair). Perhaps the 100+ Best Buy stores out of the 1,500+ were specially chosen they were big enough to fit an optimal amount of demos, but eh, who knows really.

@NintendoPie:

Shuddap joker, you know you're hyped for this! :P

Plus the fact that they didn't tell us which games are gonna be playable already likely means that there are yet to be shown games on the list, and SSB4 has yet to be shown! ^_^

Not quite the same treatment NA is getting as that's one location versus over one hundred, and these locations are places people already go regularly. Plus, there's no presentation or anything, you can just walk in anytime and play the games. Basically this is much much larger than anything that's ever been done like this past. Hopefully they continue this year after year and bring it to other countrys, and Sony n Microsoft will do similarly, so that E3 truely is for the people! :D

Yeah, i`m pretty sure there will be some surprises! I`m sure of that!

I mentioned that example in relation to having demos in PAL mode and that was soon after E3, i believe.
It could really set a trend. Yet, it will depend on the plans of MS and Sony: do they really want to show demos that might not show how the final game will be?
Next year we will see if it will become a thing or not.

MS/Sony aswell as Nintendo already do that regularly at E3, so there's no real difference other than the number of people that get to play, which'll be much much higher, and that can only be a good thing. Plus it's not like they'll allow a massively buggy demo to be displayed.

Even if MS/Sony doesn't follow suit the following year, Nintendo can still keep expanding their E3 for the people thing year after year, making it bigger and bigger. Eventually, MS/Sony will have no choice but to do the same otherwise they'll be majorly overshadowed.

Not sure about that.
They wouldn`t even show a buggie version just for E3 goers. Thing is, those demos aren`t normally based on the final build and journalists are more than aware of this and know what it means, but the average gamer doesn`t think like that. Why do you think companies put in their trailers "pre-build", "work in progress" kind of stuff? It`s for the average gamer to be aware that it`s not finished.

It`s always a risk to put out demos not based on the final build - even if small aspects are modified closer to launch.

If this year they succeed, i`m sure both Sony and MS will think better about this: will they put out demos on stores or do a road show with all bells and whistles? It`s all about marketing!

So what exactly is the issue then? You said it yourself they make sure it's made clear that they're just demos in which everything is subject to change. I'd say the publicity is well worth w/e long term negative backlash there could be, especially given the Wii U's current situation.

All i was trying to say is that it`s a risk if you decide to put out demos of games that aren`t in the final build. There are people to whom this isn`t nothing new, but the average gamer it is.
That`s why, you have to be careful and don`t just do it for the sake of doing it, because it could really hurt your product.
The warning part comes mainly in the form of videos or pics. But imagine lots of people paying them in a shop. Will people notice it?

I think Nintendo is doing it because it will be based on what is to be the final game.
