Not really. Mewtwo is a lot faster and has access to fire type moves and Genesect is 4 times weak to fire so even a flame thrower would be an overkill. I guess it all comes down to the sets but Mewtwo wins most of the time.

Qusite unless Genesect is a Physical Choice Scarf U-Turner then he's toast against Mewtwo if it carries Flamethrower.  Hell a Life Orb boosted Psytrike will two shot him.
