Yeah exactly that reason. Fennekin used a Psychic-like move and Froakie seemed to be using a Fighting move.

Grass > Water > Fire > Grass
Dark < Fighting < Psychic < Dark

Would be a perfect fit.

Hmmm, correct me if i'm wrong, but if the move that Chespin used was indeed Night Slash, that wouldn't be a good indication that it would be a secondary Dark Type. Night Slash has a 50% spread on types other than Dark primary or secondary (taking in account pokes that learn it only be levelling up), heck even Cryogonal learns it and it's a pure Ice Type that has one of lowest attack base stat for a non-evolution poke.

Not saying that it won't be a Grass/Dark type, it would be a pretty awesome typing for a starter (Shiftry is one of my favourite Grass pokemon because of it), but most Dark moves are usually very spread amongst other types.

Nah, youre right. I was just looking for a clue

whoa this is hard, well...

- Eeveelutions: Steel --and-- Poison

-Pseudo Legendary: Ghost/Fire

-Main Legendaries: Xerneas= Psychic/Steel --and-- Yveltal= Dark/Flying

-Starters secondary type (last evolution) : Grass/Dark -- Fire(pure) -- Water(pure)

-Cross Generation: there won't be any, i proposse that if this happens we (who say there won't be any) get 3pts 1 for each option the others could chose - just a sugestion.

and that's it!! :D

Well, like I said, wouldn't mind if you were right. Grass/Dark starter would be awesome .
