Why do we care about which game is harder? You can make them as hard or as easy as you'd like. YOU pick the car you drive. Also, anyone saying you can beat all of the races in GT5 with two or three cars is lying. You can't use the Vette, GTR, or X1 in most of the races.

I don't think he said all the races but most of the races.  I don't know about the Vette and the GTR he mentioned but so far I won a lot of races using the Red Bull Race car all the events I mentioned earlier and I'm sure I can still use it on a couple more endurance races that I haven't unlocked yet.

The cara you won from Vettel is the Rede Bull cars... X1 or X2010... you have a bonus but you are suposed to not get it before lvl 30 like every other GT5 player did.

There are events who I need to try more than 10 cars to won the first time and the money is so low to buy better cars... so I need to tune the cars I have and try to win the races.

I lost a lot of time to finish all events in first place.

laughable comparing gran turismo lack diversity to forza

Then GT5 must have been a joke to you because I've never lost a single race using the GTR in GT5, and only one race in the Corvette ZR1, but then I changed the Gear ratio, and just obliterated the competition. I even managed to lap 2nd place (so I lapped everyone) several times.

Yet I have trouble in Forza 4 with all assists off, I actually have yet to win a race with everything off (I just need ABS).

How far are you in Forza 4? All the races at the start are fairly easy, it's only after 7 or 8 years of season play that Forza 4 becomes a real challenge.

No. I have a lot of trouble to won in GT5 even some races with this Corvette... and the historical events made me tear my hair out... the Licenses too.

I have not moved forward that much in Forza 4 because I just play when my friend is not here in the weekends (so I play his 360)... and there was Geras 3, and the last weekends Halo 4 (I finished the main campaing last saturday).. so my interest in Forza 4 is really small even more when you have no challenge and get money is easy too.

Try to play the Seasonal Events in GT5 to see what is hard and there is penalities in Seasonal Events... if you hit then it's impossible to win the race.

Licencing is so easy!!! That's like a tutorial, now I know your bs.

Yea, you're just full of BS, how can you go around claiming Forza 4 is easy if you've only played the early levels? Every racing game is a peice of cake at the start. In both GT5 and Forza 4 you have to be real stupid to loose any of the first dozen or so races.

The problem with GT5 is that up to level 11, it's a joke. After level 11, the GTR makes you unbeatable, and you'll zoon to level 21. At level 21, a properly modified or tuned Corvette ZR1, will make the game easy up until the Red Bull car, and after that...it's still easy.

However. If you don't know how to pick cars, GT5 can be the hardest game ever. Forza is easy in the sense that the race limitations aren't car/modification specific, but performance specific. So it's always possible to win a race if you have a car at the high end of the performance limitation, regardless of tuning. GT5, you have to actually pick a good car, but when you know your cars, GT5 is pretty easy. I was honestly surprised.

Also when you refer to seasonal events, are you refering to Top Gear, and Benz Academy? Yea, you can't hit people there, but that mode is full of glitches. For example, you can drive through part of the hammerhead in the Top Gear Track and as long as you don't hit a pilon, the game doesn't disqualify you or punish you. Some events like the Lotus Challenge are moderatly difficult, but as long as you play a bit of the main game first, it really isn't that bad.

Also, if you want to call BS on me, try to beat my Top Gear track time in a Kia Cee'd on Forza 4. I got a time comparable to the Formula 1 drivers on Top Gear, and that's realistic considering I don't have the fear of death, and I get infinite retries. If you can't then maybe GT5 is just difficult for you, but not me. In that case I reccomend playing higher challenge Forza tracks. You can always go to the Event list and do the hardest race in the game.

Well the XL version of the game makes things a lot easier since you get the Red Bull Racing car from the begining along with another dozen or so cars can't remeber exactly which ones they where exactly since I'm closing in on 400 cars in my garage.  On top of that you get 10 tickets each for free oil changes and car washes and 8 tickets each for engine and chasis overhaul.  Also your winning percentage starts out at 130% percent and I'm guessing I already reached the highest level you can get since its been at 200% percent for almost a week now.

Finished getting my International A License today and so far the only part that gave me trouble with the licenses was the last part of that one of course I'm not going for the gold bronze is good enough for me unless the last license turns out to be super dificult I would say that GT4 and all the other GT games have harder license test.  The special events are a lot harder then the licence test I really can't jude the seasonal events yet since I only tried a few and most of them in b spec and won all the races I tried so far.

I actually haven't won a Red Bull Race car yet the XL version of the game which I have come with the first two car packs which includes the Gran Turismo Red Bull X2011 Prototype '11.

Not sure how you can say they are competitors when they aren't on the same systems.
No one buys the xbox for Forza.
Many many people bought PS for Gran Turismo.

With that said, well-written article. I very much agree that Forza has solidified its position as a quality racing game with a solid fanbase.

You have proof of this this?

Do you have proof that anyone does? You don't prove that something doesn't happen, just like you don't prove that God doesn't exist. That's illogical. Show me some data that backs this and I will redact my statement.

well, i bought my x360 last year because it was bundled with forza3 at a very nice price. so yes, here is at least *one*. so your "no one buys the xbox for forza" is wrong. case closed.

Me full of BS? For somebody didn't know anything about the specific part of GT5 that makes the replay value infinite (togeter with online mode of course)... that's a bit ironic.

That's not me... every fan knows Forza 4 is so easy even in the hardest options with all assists off... it's easy.

Anyway the there is a new Seasonal Event every week on GT5... the last two (Ferraris and Happy New Year) are hard.
