When you actually count them Forza 4 has more cars from regions outside of Japan then GT5. So please, tell me exactly, how does that make GT5 more diverse in car selection?

Just make your count... GT5 have a little over 400 unique cars (removing older year models, tuner cars, rally versions etc).

And GT5 have 99 manufacturers.

Umm, why are people talking about how hard Forza 3 is. It is by far the easiest racing game in the world. To all the people who say GT is easier, lets see you get all gold on all licenses and challenges. That is something that takes skill. I remember playing the challenges on GT4 for the PS2 and got all golds or whatever they were (can't remember) but the last race where you race with the mercedes on nurburgring and have to wait two minutes while the other racers get ahead and you have to catch up. It took me many hours just to finish first place on that and the feeling was awesome becaues it was so challenging (you had to pay attention to every turn 100% or you wouldn't win). You won't get that with Forza because there is ZERO challenge and I play with ABS, TCS and Stability off but with Automatic transmission.

I've put thousands of hours into both franchises and GT is overall the hardest to complete.

Edit - But just to point out that IMO this doesn't take away from the Forza franchise because it does everything so well. Its just really easy to beat, that's all.

Its really only super easy if you put the difficulty on easy (the rewind feature makes it a lot easier also) but it does offer a lot replay value also since it takes over 130 hour to finish all the races and since its not very easy to make a lot of money if you want most of the cars in the game you will spend a lot of more time on it then that.  Forza Horizon is a lot harder then FM3 even on the easiest difficulty level especially the later showcase races.

You can win almost every race in GT5 with 3 cars. 1. a Nissan GTR, full tuned, runs for about $300,000, can be obtained early in the game. 2. A Corvette ZR1 Race tuned, runs about $700,000 that can win basically every race in the game 3. Red Bull car - leftovers.

If you get these 3 cars and tune them, GT5 is one of the easiest games in the world. Only a few races restrict these cars and in general you can use cars you won to win those easily.

Like I said GT5 is a 3 car game.

You need lvl11 for the first car and lvl21 for the second... when I got the ZR1 I was already racing the Like the Wind event... the Red Bull you can't get it before lvl30.

GT5 have challenge... Forza not... Forza 4 is easy win even with a car way worst then the opponents.

Yea, and how long does it take to get to level 11? Everything before level 11 is a peice of cake. It's like racing something in Forza with the AI set to easy.

Forza isn;t a challenge? Go do a race with the AI set to hard, and all the assists off. Good Luck. Honestly the hardest race in the Nissan or Corvette is a walk in the park compared to Forza 4 on full difficulty. One mistake in Forza on Hard, and you loose, you can;t say that for GT5 because you can always ram the guy on the last corner and win, no penalty.

Companies like Amuze, and Spoon don;t count. They do not manufactur cars, but tune them. Eliminate all tuning companies and it's 75 or something. I just counted, and I included small manufacturers who contribute 1 car to the game, like Homell.

Edit, and only 400 unique cars? LOL Then why have 1,000 in the game? How many Nissan Clones do you need?

Forza rarely includes older models of identical cars, uqually they only have them when there are huge differences in design (The original M3 only had a tad over 200hp, now it's 414, you definatly need more then 2 M3's). So of the 600 cars, I bet 500 or so are unique, and the only ones you really eliminate are race cars, and different models of cars, with minor changes (like there are 2 NSX's, one for each generation, but both are nearly identical in spec).

Nope, not IMHO. On the Endurance races I can lap Hard difficulties (upgraded car of course) with all assists off. I don't consider myself a great racer but I am very experienced with the racing genre, especially with GT and Forza.

And yes, Forza 3 has very good replay value and a diverse selection of races/events. As for Forza Horizon...not nearly enough content, I beat the game within 3 days of playing it and need only 3 or so achievements but other than that its my favorite racing title in the last couple years, its sooo addicting.

My experiense with Forza 4... hard, all assits off... you never saw the second place... seems like you are alone in the race.

Edit - It's not just me... all racing sim (even the Forza fans) have the same felling... look at the biggest Forza Forum in the web.

Then GT5 must have been a joke to you because I've never lost a single race using the GTR in GT5, and only one race in the Corvette ZR1, but then I changed the Gear ratio, and just obliterated the competition. I even managed to lap 2nd place (so I lapped everyone) several times.

Yet I have trouble in Forza 4 with all assists off, I actually have yet to win a race with everything off (I just need ABS).

How far are you in Forza 4? All the races at the start are fairly easy, it's only after 7 or 8 years of season play that Forza 4 becomes a real challenge.

No. I have a lot of trouble to won in GT5 even some races with this Corvette... and the historical events made me tear my hair out... the Licenses too.

I have not moved forward that much in Forza 4 because I just play when my friend is not here in the weekends (so I play his 360)... and there was Geras 3, and the last weekends Halo 4 (I finished the main campaing last saturday).. so my interest in Forza 4 is really small even more when you have no challenge and get money is easy too.

Try to play the Seasonal Events in GT5 to see what is hard and there is penalities in Seasonal Events... if you hit then it's impossible to win the race.

I agree Forza Horizion should have had more content even though its going to take me a lot longer then you to finish all the events I beat the main part of the game now I have to finish the regular, street and showcase races that I didn't finsih.  They also should have added a lot more cars since its pretty easy to make a lot of money in the game plus you can win a good amount of cars.

Yeah, the Rally expansion came out yesterday and am going to download and play it when I go back to playing it. Hopefully they have more DLC in-coming because Horizon is pretty solid.
