Forums - Website Topics - Moderator Announcement: Posting in a locked thread MAY result in Moderation

Greetings VGChartz Community!

I just wanted to make an announcement regarding more recent occurrences of people posting in threads once they are locked. I didn't want to bring this issue to light initially as I thought it would just cause more people to seek out how to do so. But given that it is happening more and more often I have no choice but to warn the entire community that from here on out (whether you claim to have seen this warning thread or not), committing such an act WILL result in deep scrutiny and consideration of moderation.

The thread was locked by a moderator for a reason and whether or not you agree with that reason we'd hope you'd have the respect to comply with it. We are aware of how this act is being committed but unfortunately it isn't something we mods can fix. The next best thing to do is let you know that we don't appreciate you guys going behind our backs on decisions. We try to act as respectfully as we can to make the site a better place and we'd wish for the community to return that respect. If you find issue with the decision, come speak with us. I'm personally available on Steam (teshmod) most days and check my messages on the site multiple times a day.

Thank you for your co-operation and again, if you have any questions feel free to reach out to us.

~tads12

P.S. I broke my awesome points sum of 27272 to post this thread so that should give you some indication of how serious I am.

Why does Squirtle menstruate in that picture?

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

A Biased Review Reloaded / Open Your Eyes / Switch Gamers Club

Keep in mind people may start to reply to a thread BEFORE its locked and simply be unaware that it got locked until after they submitted their post. That can be fixed with proper validation in your site.

btw, this is meant as an FYI, not argumentative or any other negative intent.

lol nvm, I see where this is coming from.

We're also aware of that but thanks for the constructive feedback. We'll definitely be keeping this in mind. "WILL" was no doubt too strong on my part.

Sometimes if you take a long time to write a post in a thread, by the time you post it the thread has already been locked for 10 minutes. For this reason, this rule is silly and shouldn't be enforced unless someone says something like "I can post in locked freds!!111!!1"

Thanks for informing us! Here's what you get good sir, you're welcome.

Not to mention you can always edit your post in a locked thread...  if you're the last one you can say something awesome.
