Forums - Gaming Discussion - Gaming frustrations ...

After offering some advice to sqrl about a mission involving stopping a dump truck in Kane & Lynch, it made me think about frustrating moments in gaming.

I have a few that I can think of:

1. The club scene in Kane & Lynch. You have to exit the club with the club's owner and cover Lynch. My heavens - I can't tell you how frustrated I was after doing that level tons of times. I wish Lynch, who enjoys shooting folks, had a pistol and could help me out and shoot folks.

2. Having to eat meals - GTA San Anderas. When I play games, having to eat is the last thing on my mind. I can see if I were playing the Sims, but doggone, I am boosting whips, busting caps at the Po-po and I have to stop the action to eat a stinkin' Happy Meal?

3. The moral choice - to take drugs or bring them to the station - NARC. I thought the game was rather chessy to start off with, but as a cop, being able to take drugs and the like OR put them into evidence. Horrible ...

4. Disk read errors - any system. I loved my PS2 games, but I got so many errors I had to send it back to Sony. And my 360 scratched my Mass Effect disk and ME hasn't worked right since. I long for the day of flash-based games for console games again.

Matriarch Benenzia on Mass Effect. Nuff Said.

Stupid random boss fights in GH3.

Trying to read fingerprints off some keypad in splinter cell. I just couldn't get it after many trys (and it worked before on another keypad) so I never played the game again.

Trying to kill that women on Assassins Creed.

I had no problems all game long with controls, but that last assasination was such a pain in the ass. I kept bouncing off the wrong walls, I couldn't hit the archers with my knifes. All game long I had no issues with controls, except for that assasination. I threw the remote twice against my (thankfully soft and cushy) couch.

That part made me so mad that after releasing that lady, I chased after her for revenge trying to assasinate her. It wouldn't let me kill her, but I know she'll be back in future creed's... I wait for the day to exact my revenge on her!!

- $10 halo3 maps

- 90% of Halo 3 matches

- 3/4 of Guitar Hero II Hard songs

- Xbox Live not working

- Call of Duty 4, the sniper mission in the past
I think I've spent 2 hours of my life on the last part. Once I was about 3 feet away from the helicopter door when it just took off without me!! ARGHH!!!

- Geometry Wars
Getting 200/200 is quite frustrating, but was quite sastisfying!

Man, I feel you! I died countless times the first time I played ME. However, I wasn't a soldier, and I had leveled up either. I was focusing on her, not her minions. This time around, I tackled the game as a soldier and leveled up to commando. Wow ... I literally flew through the hot labs level. I was finished with the fight with her (And I had Liara as well fighting) in like 3 minutes. It really, really makes a world of difference.

Man, I understand on the sniper mission. It took me like 5-6 times to get that shot.

After frustrating moment in video games? In Bioshock when you realized you've been played ... and making the wrong choice with the little sisters.

The last set of Guitar Hero 3 on expert.....unpossible I say....

To Each Man, Responsibility

That sniper mission on CoD was one of the hardest things I have ever done. At the end when you are by the carnival, it's just impossible, although the shot is easy if you wait until he tells you to shoot.
In general, escort missions piss me off, why should you have to protect them, when generally, they do nothing to help themselves

I was tempted to quit because of that part but I just saved the game and tryed the next day and made it through. Once I came up with a halfway decent strategy.
