@Shams:

I predict something big from MS--I think that they will release a bigger HDD (possibly 500gb) and have games that can't fit on a DVD either go on multiple DVDs or be downloadable. Any takers?

Their huge spectacular big announcment was that they have more TV shows on LIVE? lame.......

Xbox Live Gamertag - Deathscythe X

AIM SN - Alexie Di Onie

To those of you who don't understand how horrible CES was for toshiba and ms...lol. (read below)

Disney owns ALL of ABC and it's affiliates...MGM is a private company as of now, OWNED by SONY.

Not only has Warners/Warners NewLine bitch slapped toshiba and ms backed hd-dvd format...but ms has now OFFICIALLY stated that they have PAID the two most influential BLURAY backing studios, Disney & Sony Pictures Entertainment...for online content distribution rights for "select" content on their XboxLiveService.

"We don't have enough content...so we have to pay our competitors for their content, witch btw we denounce!!!!!...." --ms just spit in toshibas face, as well as destroying ANY credibility they had for the hd-dvd format and their "exclusive live content division". ...Wow.

This Consumer Electronics Show has kicked off a 2008 Sony gravy train, it's going to be a crazy year.

Wow.. trying to put a positive spin on sales is one thing, outright lying is another...

Haha the begining of 08 has seems as though it has been very good for sony. Still they need to bring their software sales up and then they'll be set.

I thought the console winner was the first console to 10 million?

Yes - that was last year's selling point. But when you get surpassed by a console in less than half the time, you focus on... ...making money for 3rd parties?

step 1: make 2 lists:

Things all successful consoles have ever done
...
...

Things our console have done
...
...

step 2: find any single item that exists on both those lists

step 3: announce this as the definitive reason why your console will win

step 4: ???

step 5: profit!!

Step 4 involves, of course, the difficult task of taking the deluded mental image out of your head and imposing it upon the rest of the world.

Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!

I'm not sure that getting more content on their Live service has anything to do with the ending format war.  I guess it's ironic that those are blu-ray supporters, though.

However, wasn't Disney an E3 announcement?  Is their big announcement just a rehash of an old one?  I think that's more sad...

Other than the HD-DVD add on drive for the 360 what showed that Microsoft cared about the HD-DVD & Blu-ray war?

Other then the missinformed thought that sony and microsoft opose each other in everything they do. They do afterall have partnerships. (Sony computers run windows.)

I mean the add ons were likely something they got an incentive to make anyway. While Sony wouldn't want the 360 to have a blu-ray add on because it would take away from the PS3.

is MS trying to out spin Sony?
