No honestly how can people think AC will outsell BF3...

First, BF3 is a shooter, that is to say the most popular genre nowdays. But it's not some random shooter : anybody having played the beta will notice it's a revolution in both graphics and gameplay. Frosbite2 flattens nearly all 3D engines so far and the game is really immersive. In the other hand, AC is a ageing franchise seriously going purely commercial.

That said, have a look on the preorders : BF3 has twice more on both systems AND we don't yet know about the PC version, which will be far above the current PC sales average cause it's an immensely superior version.

Seriously drop your AC and come to play BF3...

This isn't about which game you prefer. I personally hate AC and still think it will sell better.

FPS games may be the most popular games nowadays but that doesn't mean automatic success and good graphics have little coorolation with good sales. Killzone 3 and Crysis 2 both sold rather poorly.

I am only comparing sales on consoles as I stated in the OP so comments about the pc version are meaningless.

Battlefield 3 could certainly outsell it but it faces much stiffer competition then assassins creed to win over customers. Assassins creed disadvantage is it has been very heavily milked lately with a new game coming out every year.  But if a new one doesn't come out next year, I think revelations will have much better legs than battlefield 3.

I don't think Revelations will sell as well as you people think. I think THIS year paticularly it's competing with bigger game, last year it was basically Black ops and that's it....this year there platform exclusives in Zelda, Uncharted, big Multiplats, Skyrim, Batman and of course the 2 shooters....also it's still AC2 spin off...so it wil sell around Brotherhood or LESS.

Assassins Creed 3 is going to the BIG one and imo will be the first AC to exceed 10mil with ease.

I go with Battlefield.

hopefully Assassins Creed Rev will because it will be a better game and the multiplayer will be better too.

Sorry I didn't read the poll properly, so the PC sales are off-topic. In this case I'm less sure but I still reckon AC is decaying and that BF3 will be bigger.

BF3 i think it'll do more than Slimebeast prediction

people are going to be surprised with its sales and even reviews...

Not sure if both multiplayer modes are comparable enough to warrant one being better than the other; they're very different from one another. A Battlefield 3 vs. MW3 comparison would make more sense. One, however, may be, say, more intense or more varied than the other. It really all depends on what type of game you prefer. OP, Battlefield 3 will beat AC: Revelations.

Looks like BF3 is going to slaughter AC Revelations

I should imagine Battlefield 3 will take this, and in my own honest opinion rightly so, i personally find Battlefield 3 a step in the right direction, but in AC:R's case it's a step back from AC 2, and AC:Brotherhood

Battlefield 3. It a popular shooter series and has the advantage of being a main instalment, and whilst it won't match Call of Duty sales wise, it will reach a very high total.

Revelations is the second expansion to Assassin's Creed II, and like most expansions it doesn't sell as well as the main instalment, as shown by Brotherhood. The series may also suffer as it can now be seen as a yearly release franchise, which may further impact on sales. Expect the series to rebound when Assassin's Creed III is (inevitably) released next year, especially if the game is as refined gameplay and campaign wise as AC II, but Revelations won't match it given the reviews.
