Battlefield 3 will win.

Battlefield 3 | 77 | 43.02%
Assassins Creed Revelations | 83 | 46.37%

Gonna have to go with Assassin's Creed. Battlefield 3 will have a great opening followed by a few good weeks of sales. Once MW3 drops, the sales of BF3 will sink in comparison to previous weeks; it's legs won't be able maintain a steady surge due to MW3. AC:R also has the factor of it being Ezio's final chapter, so the hype/advertisement of it will be higher than previous AC titles. BF3 will launch with highers numbers than AC:R, but AC:R will out-leg it in WW sales.

Is it true that it's forbidden to cut out stuff (like a paragraph) from a quoted post for the purpose of highlighting the parts that I am replying to? |
Assassin's Creed will do better. Its going to be a guaranteed hit on both PS3 and 360 whereas battlefield 3 is only a guaranteed hit on the 360 and I doubt its going to do that great on the PS3. It will do nowhere near half of call of duty nos on the PS3.

Nah, I was joking around... I accidentally posted 'BF would be focused on PS3'. I meant to say 360. So I edited my original post so it could say '360' and, jokingly, I pretended that you edited the sentence to say 'focused on ps3'. |
Oh, nasty you!
The moment you said consoles only, Assassin's Creed was the winner. If you include PC sales, that's a serious edge for Battlefield and I can't be sure which will sell more.

Bad company 2: As of June 30, 2011 over 9 million copies of the game have been sold across all platforms.
No honestly how can people think AC will outsell BF3...
First, BF3 is a shooter, that is to say the most popular genre nowdays. But it's not some random shooter : anybody having played the beta will notice it's a revolution in both graphics and gameplay. Frosbite2 flattens nearly all 3D engines so far and the game is really immersive. In the other hand, AC is a ageing franchise seriously going purely commercial.
That said, have a look on the preorders : BF3 has twice more on both systems AND we don't yet know about the PC version, which will be far above the current PC sales average cause it's an immensely superior version.
Seriously drop your AC and come to play BF3...
