Haven't played it yet, but will do soon.
Just wanted to say: Buy RE (1) GameCube remake if you haven't played it yet. Amazing game, quite scary, great story (suffers a bit from bad controls though). You should be able to buy it for 10-15 bucks online.

Dude, thanks for the tip . I managed to pick up a second hand copy in perfect state for 10 euros at a local store. My expectations were not too high, I bought it mainly because I felt that it was my duty as a RE fan. However, it turned out to be a great game! It is actually the most 'hardcore' game I have ever seen, being insanely difficult, and, where many games hold your hand for too long, this almost pushes you away yelling 'Fine, then go find everything out yourself.' However, this is probably excactly the appeal of the game.

Also , I didn't expect a remake  of an old game on an outdated console to look good, but the graphics are actually fantastic! And it's scarier than RE4, featuring more atmosphere and danger - where in RE4, one zombie was no problem at all and fighting was the main part of the game, in REmake I often find myself running away from single zombies!

It was also funny to see some of the locations which I already knew from Umbrella Chronicles, as well as comparing REmake with RE:UC's shortened storyline. This may be pretty obvious to most of you, but I can really recommend buying REmake even now!

I drink your milkshake.

it's a great game particularly when you are playing with a friend!

iam playing it with the zapper and i like it. the only minus point playing with the zapper: it is more difficult to "counter" - especially when you have to shake the nunchuk.

the side quests are also funny, but you can only play them in single player mode.

played right through on first 3 scenarios until you have to get A grade on Racoons Destruction 3 to unlock Deaths door then had to do it on my own as impossible for one of 2 people to get A. Still couldn't do it (Got s*2, a*2 and a C and ended with B - pretty harsh IMO) so knocked difficulty down to easy, finally did it and unlocked Deaths door part 1 (my favourite level so far) and completed this only to find out that you have to complete all other levels to unlock Deaths Door Part 2 and when I changed down to Easy it removed my grades for all previous levels.

Now changed back to Normal and started again and gotta say this has now moved up into my 5 favourite Wii games so far - mainly because Racoons Destruction 3 forced me to go away and learn Critical Hits properly and study all secondary weapons and learn timing when fighting big boss to counter his attacks.

So much depth in this game when you get into it and I have every intention of completing every level on every difficulty setting to get high grades.

Absolutley fantastic game and yet another pat on the back to Capcom.

Those people that think they're perfect give a bad reputation to us who are...

"With the DS, it's fair to say that Nintendo stepped out of the technical race and went for a feature differentiation with the touch screen, but I fear that it won't have a lasting impact beyond that of a gimmick - so the long-lasting appeal of the platform is at peril as a direct result of that." - Phil Harrison, Sony

I love the game. Nah, it's not perfect, but it's still a blast. I've actually put over 50 hours into it, far more than I've put into Galaxy even.

About the complaints...

I've noticed like maybe 3 or so spots where the frame-rate drops enough to effect the gameplay, and it's usually just a second or two.

I can't recall one spot in the game where I went 30 seconds without seeing an enemy.

The moving camera/view can be frustrating at times, but it's like any other thing that makes a game more challenging. As long as there isn't cheap stuff going on in a game, it doesn't bother me much. Personally, I feel the moving cam/view allows me to immerse myself into the game that much more.

Ammo wasn't much of an issue for me. I ran low a few times, but would just have to blow through one of the earlier missions to get it back up. I'd always try to play through as much as I could with just the pistol, so maybe that's why I didn't have much of a problem running low.

I have had a great deal of fun with this game. I played it through with my brother, then he replayed it with his girlfriend. We have put in over 30 hours between us, and she got her own copy for Christmas. The only other person I showed the game to loved it, but kept freaking out at the worst moment and getting us killed.

Is the game flawless? No, it has it's share of quirks but it is enjoyable. I do get frustrated by the critical hit difficulty.

I would like to see more from Capcom like this.
