You do not die.
Just stop imagining your "avatar" in the 3D world, which is really just an illusion.
Our consciousness in like energy. It never dies just transforms.
I know most of you guys on this forum are rational. But even quantum physics proves this.
Just do your research

I can't even tell you the amount of time in the last year or so I've thought about this. If you have faith then you're not supposed to tackle it logically but when I do think about it logically, it is hard for me to comprehend how evolution gave us sight and sound and the rest of our senses. How the hell did evolution know that there was anything to actually see or hear in the first place.

I try not to think about it. If you just die...then it doesn't really matter because you won't even know that you are dead because you have no conscious anymore and it makes everything so irrelevant. 9/11, the death of my grandparents, concentration camps during World War 2. Why does any of that matter if there is no afterlife, why should we care about pollution or anything of that nature. Why don't we just live our lives in gluttony.

Then I thought about our own natural morals that we have and I did some research to see when we start developing morals and empathy and everything of that nature and the research lead me in the direction that the very first signs of this are at a very very young age. Who knows that, that's just when they can recognize that we've developed those traits.

My roommate believes in ghosts but I don't believe in ghosts. For some reason, I am terrified of ghosts and I don't even believe in them. That makes no sense. I don't believe in them and I swear my room is haunted and that the back kitchen at the Tukwila Applebee's is haunted.

I'll tell you one thing though, I really really wish I was one of those people that had faith because death is scary and I wish I could have that comfort they must have that everything will be okay.

'Cause then your life would be considerably shorter? And morals aren't "natural".

I always felt it would feel like sleep

You know when you sleep n wake up, unless you have a dream you don't remember the time between sleeping and waking up.

It'll be like that time, except you never wake up. So like a dreamless sleep, forever, with no end in sight, with no alarm at the end, with no life at the end...a dark tunnel from which you have no escape!!!

Due to the depressing nature of tall this I really hope there is a way to cheat death.

Maybe if we use cheat codes?

I think given how vast this entire universe and beyond is, nothing, and I mean nothing, is out of the question. You think coming back as a donkey is more crazy than how we all got here in the first place? lol

That said, most likely I would say just like an eternal sleep, which is nice to think about. If this is the case, then death is nothing to fear.

I like to believe in reincarnation to a point, also it always gets my mind going when you know someone in real life, and see someone half way across the world on youtube that has the same name, same stats and behaves the same way, happened twice so far for me, very freaky!

I also think de ja vu points towards reincarnation or a reboot as someone above put it.
