Indeed. The only objective measures of quality are money spent and units sold, and the biggest console game developer in the world by those measures is Wii-exclusive.

This thread is pretty obvious, really. Not sure WTF metacritic is doing in there.

Think i agree with this article, although i'm not much of an expert on which games are exclusive to whichever HD console. I will say that the comment about HD exclusive titles is irrelevant though. This article is plainly about SINGLE console exclusives. No Mario kart though? I would have to agree it depends entirely on personal preference though.

I agree... but all is a taste question.. but it has the most extense list and (many times) underrated games.

Well, that's just complete nonsense.

PS3 exclusives rated above 90:

  • Uncharted 2
  • LBP
  • MGS4
  • LBP2
  • God of War III
  • MLB 10
  • Killzone 2
  • MLB 09

And if we go down to 85, there are plenty more. That's not even counting the games that it shares with 360 and PC, but which are not present on Wii.

My point isn't that the PS3 has a better exclusive library (though, in my opinion, it does) but rather that any sort of list like this is completely subjective. Suffice to say, in the eyes of critics, the HD console libraries are stronger than that of the Wii.

EDIT: To back that last statement up, the number of 90+ metacritic titles by system:

Wii: 11

PS3: 31

X360: 36

Perhaps that's just down to reviewer tastes, but if that many people disagree with your conclusion, it's probably not set in stone.

I don't get why people get so worked up because of stuff like this. It's not like the world will implode because one person thinks the Wii has the best exclusives.

I always find it a bit funny when people back this stuff up with metacritic though, just to try and make something entirely subjective look objective. A console having 50 games with a mc of 90+ sounds amazing but it doesn't mean anything if the majority of those gamers belongs to genres that you dislike. You get the bragging rights but if that's all you care about, it's time to hand over the gamercard...
