VB: Have you made any comments about whether the performance will be better than the PS 3 or the Xbox 360?

RF-A: Again, the point is not about a comparison versus our competitors. What we’ve said is it will be 1080p. Check the box on the best graphics capability. It will have a robust online environment. Check the box. That will not be a disincentive for purchase.

The specifics of how we get there — we still have a number of months to share more and to show more. The reason we showed that visual demonstration with the bird in the garden is just to reinforce that the visual horsepower of this machine is there.

Reggie confirmed this in a post-E3 interview on the day of the conference.

There are a few people who still think it's Wii all over again. So a shinny logo like that might help them see the difference.

wait for a real game footage and not some tech demos(yes i am talking for zelda) to see at what level really are that graphics of this console

The important part is whether devs can tap that power. Theoretical power means nothing.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

they thinkg its wii all over again CAUSE wii u is still boasting of doing what this gen was done by hd console not what will be done by PS4 and 720 with a gimmick controller

They're gonna put that logo smack in the middle of the box? cool

Funny, that despite all effort by Nintendo, people still seems to be too dismisive of the fact that Zelda tech demo was rendered in real time on actual hardware. Given that previous Zelda tech demos were easily surpassed by the real games, how exactly the shown demo isn't representive of real graphics level of the console? It's not like Sony's E3 2005 filled with prerecorded footage, notably Motorstorm and Killzone 2, none of which came close to shown videos. I guess people would have been totally convinced only if they had the game ready to be shipped at this E3 =)

Just like Xbox 360 and PS3 then.
They have never said that games will run natively on 1080p.

IT WAS A TECH DEMO that you could change the camera a simple video and the quality was not even equal to current 's gen 360 and ps3

furthermore NOT A SINGLE GAME WAS SHOWN being played Real time on wii u i just some wii-like prototypes(wii-sports like) so those guys are just saying and they don 't really showning what it truly looks like
