Forums - Nintendo Discussion - WiiU to only support 1 tablet controller?? Miyamoto speaks...

Here is another question I just thought of now.

If you can only use (1) tablet and everyone else has to use Wiimotes...

What use will it be in having those dual circle pads? It obviously won't be for WiiU games right? I only assume this based on the fact that only (1) player will be able to take advantage of them in certain titles.

Stupid move Nintendo.

Hopefully if we bitch enough they will change their minds.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

I really hate turning the Wii Mote to the side to play 2 player games. It's very un-ergonomic, IMO. I'm disappointed, tbh.

They'd be smart to have Classic Controller support in their games then, I have no problem using the Pro.

Wouldn't it require a lot of power for the system to support displaying not only to the TV, but also to several controllers? Nintendo might hesitate, because if a game supports say 4 controllers, then graphics would have to be toned down. That would only make sense if it's used often.

It hasn't only got to send displays to several controllers, it also has to send DIFFERENT displays to the controllers.

If it could do that it would be super expensive.

I suspect that this is one of those things where consumer reaction will change their opinion ...

While I doubt we will see 4 controller support, I don't think they would have too many problems supporting a second controller.

So you can only use (1) per console and you can not buy them seperately?

So what happens if the tablet breaks?

I was hesitant on whether to grab this or a Vita and Nintendo is making this choice very easy on me.

I don't want to play primarily with Wiimotes again, not to mention (1) tablet per system pretty much throws so much potential out the window.

What's wrong with Wii remote.

How will we be able to play hardcore multiplayer games with our friends when were hanging out in the same location?

Playstation All-Stars is one of the best games I've played this gen, and is the most fun I've had in a game this gen.

If the display is really HD, even only a second controller would limit what is graphically possible in a title that uses both for multiplayer (assuming they display complex game worlds on TV and both controllers). I think it would open up great new ways to play, but it might not happen.
