Mortal Kombat Sales have already destroyed MVC3 sales without any trouble whatsoever, contary to the beliefs of certain MK doubters on VGC. MVC3 has been out for 4 months, MK has been out for 2.

You have to compare the sales of Marvel vs. Capcom to the sales of DC vs. Mortal Kombat. That's fighting game with superhero characters vs. fighting game with superhero characters.

I find this comparison to be unfair, biased, unpatriotic, and racist.

I was just kidding! Personally, even though I'm a fan of SF4 (Super SF4, actually), I didn't even care to try Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Something about that game just didn't appeal to me. I can't put my finger on it. At the same time, I lost my desire to play Mortal Kombat 2011 right before it launched. I'm happy the game is doing well. Sometimes, I just like causing trouble for no reason. Carry on!
