wait so you are telling me that two ports which are not as good as the original (tekken 6 psp was good, but not as good as Tekken DR in content) outsold DOA dimensions which is if I'm not mistaken is a new game, one of the most hyped games for a new systems launch year? you do realize DOA PARADISE outsold the 3ds game? not sure how you can try and spin this one in a positive way tbh

and here is the first entry of tekken on the psp: Jp 53,251. like DOA 3ds, lots of extra content in addition to being a good game.

Totally, utterly abysmal numbers all around, both hardware and software.

All hardware combined = 80,559

All software in the TOP 20 combined = 196,708

I'm just trying to put some perspective on the subject. I personally don't care a bit about Dead or Alive: Dimensions so I wouldn't waste my time trying to spin its sales in a positive way. As I previously said on the Comgnet thread this game did it very poorly, but mainly because of the poor shape of classic fighting games there and I could provide a plethora of examples.

Dead or Alive Demensions is a spin-off, just like Soul Calibur PSP.

Regardless, the game bombed.

Also PS3 numbers are horrible, and wii numbers are beyond horrible. This use to be the second biggest video game market.

and here I thought last week's numbers were the worst I've ever seen

PSP Go - 65? Seriously 65? That's just wow...especially considering how well the regular PSP is doing.

3DS should probably pick up a bit with more games starting to be released for it. DOA last week, One Piece this week, Biohazard next week, Zelda OOT two weeks after that.

either you are trolling or you don't live in japan.....

why would people buy PSPgo when PSN is still down in japan?

not to mention SCEJ stop shipping PSPgo in japan.

It (PS3's market share) might hit 30%, but definently not more. ~ Neo

with all due respect, doesn't get more clearer on perspectives than comparing the games performance to other games of the series, and again its lower that Paradise even, that's just wrong and shouldn't have happened. Any other thigns brought into the conversation is trying to spin things a bit whether it's intentional or not. the game did horrible first week, fact. let's just move on now

@Acevil: gotcha. and I would say it's a bit early to say if it bombed or not. Legs will dictate that I guess

Legs will be alright, but I think it will bomb regardless. It isn't really something that consumers will buy a handheld for, and when they do buy the handheld, they typically don't look backwards unless it is a pretty valuable and rich title, only forward.

agree, it will depend on the future releases as well, and if I'm not mistaken 3ds has a healthy line up in coming months and I'm sure for holiday season as well. oh well here's hoping the game does decent in the long run
