I vote Other - gt5 imo is the most overrated game / thing this gen

3. Smartphone gaming

4. Ps3 1st party exclusives - coz they are always being classed above nintendo games

5. Hardcore vs Casual debate.????

7. Exclusives going multi-plat - Final Fantasy XIII

8. Metacritic and reviews - constantly being reference as absolute measure of game quality

9. Blue Ray..hmmm.

Online FPSs in general.  Xbox Live is the closest to that, so that's what I voted for.

All those things have either been criticised to some extent or deserve their praise. 

Rockstar Games is the only reasonable answer I can give. Their games have been filled with issues, but have been universally acclaimed for such silly reasons. According to Metacritic, Red Dead and GTA 4 are two of the best games ever made. I dislike both of them, but I can at least understand  the appeal, but even with that in mind, their issues can only allow me to tolerate a 92 at maximum.

GTA 4 isn't Oscar worthy and John Marsden is not the spiritual succesor to the 'Man with no Name.'



Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

I voted other because how easily the media and just in general people hoped on the whole casual vs hardcore game crap. A game is not casual or hardcore.

the kinect and call of duty rate the most overrated. Kinect has the Ipad effect, despite tablets been coming out years before the ipad as soon as the ipad was released its "Innoviative", same with Kinect, you have products like the eyetoy which is the closest example then you have many voice control and motion control camera devices.
