If Heavy Rain and Mass Effect can sell two million copies per platform, then I'm sure a well marketed Rockstar game can match or outdo those numbers with ease. This is Rockstar, I don't think they've had a game bomb yet on the Xbox or Playstation consoles and I doubt their new effort will be any different.

its not rockstar and how about state emergency

Developed in conjunction with Rockstar and it's being published by them. State of Emergency was strictly only published by Rockstar, they had nothing to do with the development of the project. It also has a metacritic of 71 and received a sequel, so it wasn't exactly a bomb.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

Ok,Rockstar won't let their name be in a bad game.

Also Rockstar could help them develop the game.

4 million is a lock. 5 million is possible.

Assumed it gets a plus 90% Meta which I'm sure it will.

I do. I don't have enough patience for Ben Dutka's scribblings, though, so I didn't read the OP.

Gross overestimation... myself... I think it'll do 2.5 combined on all paltforms.

nah I think 4m with ease.

Not going to be quite Red Dead Redemption style, but won't be that far off either.

Eh... i just don't see that much for it, but I guess we'll see.

Rockstar has some dope games coming out in the future. LA Noire, GTA5 and Agent (unless its vapourware).

Can't wait for all three.

No major release from Rockstar has been a commercial failure this gen, the team might not be Rockstar but the game is being marketed under the rockstar banner. The marketing for this will ensure it's at least a relative success even if the game is mediocre. If it is a critical success, this game will sell akin to Red Dead Redemption, count on it.

I personally thought Midnight CLub Los Angelos was a let down, although I believe it sold okay

Exactly, it was a so-so game at best but not a commercial failure.
