Forums - Sales Discussion - Did Bayonetta sell badly?

With the advice above and this patch info, I just went down Blockbuster and picked up a copy for 14.99 (bargain!).

I did look a good game, just held back by its poor performance on the PS3. Hopefully this time I wont find that as big an issue :D

Make sure to look for new copies though!

As for some reason, brand new its 14.99

Yet they sell the 2nd hand ones for 17.95

Go figure >.>

i had no problem what so ever with the ps3 version, loved the game one of my favorites of 2010 so far, not THE favorite but definitely up there

Sold pretty good.

PS3 version could even become a million seller and the 360 version over 900k.

Impressive for a new ip. Better than Ninja Gaiden 2 and almost as good as Devil May Cry 4, both very well known series.

I would say great sales, but it should have done much  for the quality.

it's not surprising that the ps3 version sold better than the 360 since this games' quirkiness is geared directly at the japanese.

i bought my 360 copy to support such a fun title.

If you compare Bayonetta's numbers with MadWorld, you will see that there no difference (For Exemple, in America: MadWorld [0.31] Bayonetta PS3 [0.21] Bayonetta 360 [0.30]). Because we have 3 consoles, not 2HD and Wii. Each with a type of investment because they are different platforms. The difference come when you see to others territories like Asia and Europe, but there others type of investment in here too for each tittle in each platform.

Sega, one day, has said that the number of MadWorld are very good. A sequel have been mentioned. With time they changed their opinion...

Yeah i think it sold pretty well, really fun game, "IN MY OPINION" head over heels better than God of War 3. the patch did speed things up a bit, but before the patch the loading was annoying. well the next game by P*games is Vanquish which is third person shooter so that will likely sell a lot better. i think its probabily on the only recent million selling Sega game thats not Sonic, so i reckon their pleased.

There you go, just fixed that for clarification. In my opinion GOW3 was better and more fun than Bayonetta (yes I downloaded the patch or else it would have been unbearable and I wouldn't have bothered beating it twice).

Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)

I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/  hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.

They combine the figures because the cost of porting to the PS3 was REALLY LOW, therefore most of that is profit
