9/10 I think its a great game

10/10. Best MGS game ever. Amazing boss fights (the end boss fight was just too great).

9.3/10

An excellent game in the series but ultimately not as good as MGS2 & MGS4 despite having quite possibly one of the best endings of all time & EVA! It also had really good boss battles!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

10/10 BEST MGS!

7/10 Worst in the series. Not only does it overly rely on the survival aspect, but the stealth gameplay is nearly overshadowed by it. Nothing quite works as well as it should have because of the new additions to the MGS3. Stealth was a mess, especially when you had no good items to know whether any enemies were around. No radar. The items that acted like a radar were not helpful at all, especially when they showed all of the animals around you too.

Yeah, when the new missions starts. You crashland, she shows up on her horse, beats the shit out of you, and blows up your ride.

This discussion makes me want to try it again, of course I no longer have a BC PS3 or a PS2, so that's going to be kinda tough. If I do get the chance, is it worth dragging my sorry ass through the gameplay to see the full game? Keep in mind I found MGS1 to be the best, I liked 2 a lot and found MGS4 to be a bit overcomplicated and not enough fun.

If you didn't enjoy the gameplay then no, of course not.

I'd agree with Khuutra on this one. If you didn't enjoy the gameplay aspects the first time, I doubt it's going to change now (I agree in that it can get overly complex). However, if you really wanted to, you could just check out the cutscenes on YouTube. It's around 8 hours of cutscenes though... but then again, it is Metal Gear.

9.5/10 - A well-crafted game. However, some bosses, most notably The Pain, The Fear & The Fury, could've been developed more and been more involved in the story; The Fear was a pretty bland character.

*Spoiler* Also, I didn't find the ending dramatic or touching. So The Boss was our enemy, but in the end, she was actually the hero; we were led to feel sympathy for her because Eva was telling us how much of a hero she was in an overdramatic tone. Sorry, I just didn't buy it. Everytime Snake confronted her, Snake would get beat up or get his bones broken. I couldn't wait to pull the trigger on that bitch.

Very late edit: One thing I loved doing in MGS3 was horsing around with the scientists & Raikov. I also enjoyed interrogating.

At first I didn't like it as much as MGS2 but then I played it again and it grew on me to a point where I'd give it a 9.7/10. I just love the MGS games, I can't give alow score at all.

MGS3 - 9.6/10 Absolutely STUNNING AMAZING GAME!
