snes is the best sistem ever!!

They're all good in their own way. And the best part was their games, so I wouldn't be able to pick one over the other.

If I chose purely based on Quantity of games, the NES would win. However, the SNES has both a ton of good games and Quality games; just not as many as the NES. Yet, the N64 had arguably one of the best ratio of quality games and quantity. Yet you can't count out the GameCube because even though it had far fewer games, some of them are still remembered as the best to this day. And the Wii, like the GameCube, is turning out to have some of the best games ever made, but the list has quickly outgrown even the GameCube.

So in reality, I couldn't choose one.

Also, as it has been pointed out, the DS isn't a home console. However, if it was, it would easily win.

Six upcoming games you should look into:

I think the SNES has the most high quality games for its time, but I say the NES.  No generation in gaming has eclpised that for me... yet.

It's a tie between the N64 and Gamecube for me.

Gamecube easily

- Super Smash Bros. Melee
- Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
- The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker
- The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess
- Metroid Prime
- Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
- Resident Evil
- Resident Evil Zero
- Resident Evil 4
- Battalion Wars
- Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader

SNES in my book

All four of nintendo's mascots were existant and at there best. 2d at it's finest. There was also the birth of Fzero, Starfox, and mariokart. How the Genesis even competed is beyond me.

N64 is close though
I don't think VC should be in the consideration.

My beloved DK is missing though. Unless of course you counted the unfortunate bongo appearances...in which case I would have to punch you in the face:D

DS just passed the Super Nes in my heart. But it's a tie, really.

I can't play my pokemon yellow though:/

(if you're gonna include the ds in 'home consoles' why not gba??? I'd have to rate the gba as my number 2 console but you don't list it at all, so here goes...)

1 snes
2 n64
3 ds
4 gamecube
5 wii

(I think the nes is obviously their most significant console in many ways but I kinda only got into it just before the snes was released...and got an snes straight away, so I kinda missed the bus there...)

Damn that's like saying which one of your children you like the most :p

I suppose that the very first spot goes to the Wii then followed by the NES..then the SNES..then the Gamecube and the Nintendo 64 and then the NDS..yeha that's more like it..
