Forums - Sales Discussion - Which games of your collection Did you regret Buying?

South Park for PSone. Nice avatar btw

The symbol of my regrets will always be gran turismo 3. It was then that I finaly realized games were supposed to be fun, not simulations of reality with no sense of speed at all. This was an important lesson in gaming, so maybe I don't regret getting it at all, lol!

But this gen... hmm... Links Crossbow training, the conduit, Mass Effect and Oblivion.

Link's because it's very shallow and the zapper is not that cool (i don't even use it anymore). The conduit because it's just uninspired, mediocre game with no visual style whatsoever. The other 2 because I hate how WRPGs are becoming, generic games with no heart. Oblivion is even worse, and it sports the title of "most generic game of the forever" to me.

batman returns for the SNES. You might remember it form a AVGN episode. That game sucks so bad it makes me cry for my wasted childhood.

I think you might be thinking of Batman Forever which was a travesty!

Batman returns was made by Konami and while it's nothing epic, it's a fairly decent beat em up.

I'll stick with this gen, though I'm a more prudent videogame buyer these days (internets is good for something) ....

As of now, I'd say I regret buying The World Ends With You (sorry to fans of the game, I just cannot get into it).

I regret paying FULL RETAIL VALUE (50 + USD) for House of the Dead: Overkill, MadWorld, New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Not that I didn't enjoy these games, but they don't have much replay value and are collecting dust.

                          GETTIN' CHRONOCRUNK

Knights in the Nightmare - easy, repetitive and boring all around.

Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier - dull combat, lame story with dialogue that loses its charm after boob joke #100.

WCW/NWO Thunder - incredibly easy; you can beat your opponents with just one move!!

Final Fantasy X-2 - awful, girly dialogue, and it's very easy.

Kingdom Hearts Re-Chain of Memories - laughable dialogue and annoying battle system.

Shadow of the Colossus - terrible framerate, frustrating controls and very dull.

Metal Gear Solid 4 - Oh God, this game was huge disappointment. The story was awful and had some of the worst plottwists I've ever seen. The Drebin points made the game very easy and didn't compel you to conserve ammo; if you ran out of ammo during a boss fight, you can buy some by pressing start. Lastly, there were too many cutscenes and very little gameplay. The game is only 4-5 hours when you skip all the cutscenes.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII - Dialogue was nothing but gothic poetry awfulness. Gameplay was very easy; all you had to is press x. Zack even ran to the enemy by himself! The DMW was incredibly annoying especially when it occurred every five seconds during a boss fight; it felt like the game was the one fighting the boss.

Star Ocean IV: The Last Hope - Terrible dungeon designs, awful voice-acting, weak characters & story, and annoying when you had to swap discs.

Dead Space: Extraction is a very poor game. I mean it's good when you actually are playing it, but that's only like 25% of the time. The rest of the game is walking and talking and you watching the walking and talking.

Oh, and Boom Blox stinks. I've stated this several times.

I can understand about most of the games you mention, especially ff X-2, I can even acknowledge that MGS4 was a disappointment to many people, but this is the first time I've heard anyone talk bad about Shadow of the Colossus!
