The cell phone and the annoying "missions" they spawned completely ruined the game.  Please dont ruin a game with a huge open world, great graphics, a decent story, and good combat, by making me play awkward pool and bowling every other mission.  Ugh, it makes me mad just thinking back about it. 

Its easy to nitpick aspects that could be better. But its an over all great game.

I think the game will get more respect in the long run.

I agree. If it wasn't called GTA, I bet ppl would have reacted very differently to it. I know I would have. I mean I had some pretty high expectations for GTAIV. I was thinking something along the lines of San Andreas, complete with crazy missions, funny cutscenes and silly fun. Instead, I get to watch TV on TV, watch magicians in a VIDEO GAME, and practically do the same dull missions over and over again. Also, it has no re-play value.. as soon as you finish the story missions there is nothing fun left to do. Not that the actual story missions were any fun either.
