Forums - Sony Discussion - my God of War III REVIEW (BASH IT, I WANNA GET BETTER)

I agree for the most part, I think the game is more like a 10/10 game. Gameplay, Graphics are all superb. I did not find holes in the story, I understood everything just fine. Easily an upgrade from GOW1 and 2, and Simply one of the very best this gen in my opinion. So Good review, However my opinion of the gane was a little better, and for what I like and want out of a GOW game, and a hack and slash is easily a 10/10.

" The game will pick up exactly where God of War II left off"

that sentence makes it sound like a preview instead of a review, you should change it to past tense.

same with:
"The story is to be told in-game as the camera pans"

"Yes, the graphics of the game must also be talked about, and they do not disappoint." is rather awkward sounding, you should probably reword it.
"Now Santa-Monica seemed to have not wanted to alter the gameplay in the God of War series." is also awkward.

As far as scoring goes, if you were one of our reviewers I would make you decrease the value to an 8.0 since that more closely matches your description of it and would ask that you add some things you didn't like about the gameplay to make the review read more like a 9.0 for gameplay. phrases like "I couldn't imagine the gameplay being any better" don't match up with a 9.0

The overall score I might make you take down a slight bit, maybe to 9.1 or 9.2 to reflect the value decrease.

The reason why i gave the gameplay a 9 was that it was superb. however, it was the same old from the other 2 games

and yeah i see what you mean, i just always thought that the scores should be close together to the final score, but i suppose they do not need to be. It does make sense since the value of the game really isn't up there....

Thank you, ill take all that into consideration for my next review ^_^

When you were talking about gameplay it felt like you basically said "There's alot of stuff and it's all awesome." Not much detail on variety and how the feel of weapons vary. You never mentioned how well controls flow, either.

Also, there are some very good points in the posts above. This really feels like a preview rather than a review.

4 ≈ One

I do think the gameplay feels a little different from the first 2 games, only because it's a little smoother, and the extra weapons you find are actually useful and sometimes even ideal in certain situations. You don't always feel like the blades of exile are your only option, and sometimes they're the LAST option you want.

^ thanks for your input, ill put that into account

This is the one thing I really liked in this game,  the other weapons in the first 2 games were rarely used.   But I rarely used the Blades of Exile in this game,  especially after I got the very last weapon,  I used that one for the rest of the game.

MY review : AWESOME. BUY IT. PLAY IT. LOVE IT.
