Heavy Rain Plot [Major Spoilers!!!]

Those are hardly plot holes. The first one, Scott isn't a psycopathic monster, he just wants to find devoted fathers. And the second one could just be a coverup. Criminals getting killed without a trial leads to negative public opinion.

Try these:

1) How does Madison know Scott? Why does she recoil in shock upon hearing his name?
2) Why do Scott's thoughts never suggest that he is the Origami Killer, and indeed, prove the contrary?
3) What exactly does Ethan DO during his daily blackout?

As for Scott...do you really think he would kill you? The ONE MAN willing to risk everything, endanger himself, to kill, even to DIE for his son, and you think Scott would shoot him?

1.  He's a private eye, perhaps a well known one or maybe has ads on TV? ;)

2.  Because that'd give the plot twist away ;)

3.  Dunno, I wish they explained that.

Perhaps all of these things are explained in the DLC chapters?

Someine understood this game. I hardly find respionses like these when related to the plot. Yes, there are plotholes, though not as many, or as big as some will lead others to believe.

As for you kantor, I really want to know about 1), & 2) myself. Also: How did Scott kill the old guy in the clock-shop scenewhen you're in control of him second-to-second? Perhaps the DLC will reveal some of these, though all the Taxidermist scene does is demonstrate, potentially, why Madison is an Insomniac. Btw, that scene is at the top for me.

You don't have to spoiler tag here, CGI. It's a spoiler thread.

1) This was actually very cleverly done. While Madison was watching the little ballerina, Scott walked into the other room and killed him.

2) Hopefully, Taxidermist will explain that. I'll try playing it now.

#1 - I think she tells Madison "His name is Scott, but people know him as Scott Shelby" or just "Scott Shelby" or something along those lines...and she recognizes the name because he was the chief of police or some shite like that.

#2 - I'm guessing this is because they want to cover it from the player till the end, although I thought it was EXTREMELY stupid too.

#3 - MAJOR plothole lol. He walks around making Origami figures lol cause everytime he blanks out he magically has an Origami in his hand (even before Shaun is kidnapped).

And yes I'm pretty sure he was going to kill him, Jayden and Madison cause they knew his identity, no?

1. I thought Scott was the original police investigator for the Origami killer.  I think it was implied but for sure it wasn't stated very obviously.  So maybe thats how Madison knew of Scott's name.  Thin, I know.

2. Obviously its a bit of misdirection.  The only clue was that he had several years of private investigation and no evidence to date.  The wheezing kid flashback and Scotts asthma was the only direct evidence.  I wish there were other subtle hints throughout the game.

3. Well I can't figure that one out.  Other than maybe Scott knew of Ethan's blackout from the original trauma.  A bit of a red herring to cast doubt as to who the origami killer was.

Did anyone get the FBI guy not addicted to that drug?  I thought I resisted the drug with every option but he still OD on me.

that also annoyed me, when I got the detox trophy I thought I would never have to deal with trip anymore but then randomly I was offered a chance to take it when I met mad jack and before I could read the choices, the game chose for me and gave Jayden tripto which really pissed me off.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

Jayden wasn't addicted in my playthrough (though I didn't get the detox trophy...I was trying to take him to the bathroom of the hotel room but as soon as I got near the trip, he took it)

One more thing I'd like to add.  The attack sequence in the club against Jayden, the FBI guy.  You'd think the masked perpetrator would be a bit more heavy set like Scott wouldn't you?

CGI-Quality & Kantor: you're confusing the shit out of me lol. It wasn't Madison he was in the shop with, it was Lauren lol.

But yeh the guy in the clock shop was kind of a big deal for me too. Cause you are playing as Scott, and he thinks to himself *I wonder where he is, he's been gone for quite a bit* then you walk into the room that he went to and he is lying there dead with the window open....what the deuce?

Yes but then again that would have instantly given it away wouldn't it? Yet another cheat but I guess this one is more understandable.

Yeah it's Lauren, not Madison, I knew what they meant.

And you're right, but, come on, it's a plot with a plot twist, you think they're just gonna give it away mid game?

"Let's see what Scott thinks" -> Hit L2 and X -> "Good thing I killed Manfred"

I hated the scene with Manfred. I think they should have left it out.

There was no way that Scott had time to disappear from Lauren's sight (he is a big man), grab a typewriter, hit Manfred with a typewriter (making sure no blood gets on him), put down typewriter, pick up the phone, dial 911, and go back to the same position he was in; all the while Lauren is still looking at the music box.
