I'm actually looking forward to FFXII HD Remaster more than FFXV. I hope they announce it for PS4/PS Vita and not PS3/PS Vita.

< Galvanizer posted something on A203D's wall:

Well, VersusXIII becoming FFXV has officially made me give up on future FF games. I will not buy another FF game until Hiroyuki Ito is the director and evolves ADB.

Sadly, I strongly believe this will never happen and that even FFXVI will be by Kitase/Toriyama after they finish LR FFXIII.

< Galvanizer posted something on A203D's wall:

I really hope the FF for PS4 is made by Hiroyuki Ito and the FFXII team. I will be so happy if that's the case!

< Galvanizer posted something on A203D's wall:

Not long to go till E3, bro! You think we'll see a new FF game by Hiroyuki Ito announced?

< Galvanizer posted something on A203D's wall:

We just have to hope. I'm really excited for E3 and seeing what FF they announce. The part that scares me is what staff will be behind it.

< Galvanizer posted something on A203D's wall:

Here's the video of Shinji Hashimoto's announcement of FF for PS4: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMKOHUuV83M

As you can see, he says the following:

"On the occasion of this presentation by Yoshihisa of the Luminous engine, and the announcement of the PlayStation 4 from Sony Computer Entertainment, I would also like to announce that we are preparing for development of a Final Fantasy title. Please, please be excited for E3 this year. Thank you so much. Bye."

They are only PREPARING to develop a FF for PS4. There's still a chance a director hasn't been chosen yet. As for FF Versus XIII, I think it should stay on PS3, but I wouldn't mind it also releasing on both PS3 and PS4.

< Galvanizer posted something on A203D's wall:

I hope you're right about Ito directing FFXV. It would be great if he was. However, I'm still skeptical that Kitase/Toriyama will be chosen to make it instead.

After all, Shinji Hashimoto only said that they were "preparing for the development" of a FF for PS4. That means development hasn't even started yet. When it actually does start, Kitase/Toriyama may still be chosen to lead development.

I really think you should sign the petition so Yoichi Wada can see that there are people who want Ito as the director of FFXV instead.

Hi. All the best for 2013! I hope we get a new HD game from Hiroyuki Ito and Hiroshi Minagawa soon! :)

Did you see the FFXV rumors posted a few weeks ago? They made FF15 seem like it could be amazing!

You can stop crying now, i will play with you again

You don't get to say "my personal opinion is that he thinks" present it as an argument and walk away.

You should have left it there. You dont know what you've started here.

lol you shouldn't argue, with difficultness.

I mean 13-2's my favorite game this year (not that I've liked anything else, mostly playing starcraft heh), but I think it's hard to argue that it's not FF's damaged... even though I liked both of them, bit 13-2 would have sold more, if everyone thought it was really great.

I think FF14's aweful release combined with 13's subpar reception hurt it. If it was just 13, it would have been easier for the public to for the public to move on and put it off as fluke.

    Anyways how've you been?

err goddamn typos, hopefully it makes enough sense.

    on 02 August 2012

edit again. NVM I forgot rayman was my favorite game this year.

    on 02 August 2012

Lol, I just wanted to leave it there but sadly we will have to have a rehash of the past I'm afraid.

Sorry I didnt get back to you after you mentioned to me about Xenoblade and the Wii. I honestly lost track of time.

I'm pretty busy with work at the moment, what about you?

I dont think FF14 is as bad as we think, its and MMO, these games keep updating themselves all the time. It will get better over time,

Rayman was a brilliant game. I think Sega need to look at that game if they want Sonic to compete on the same level as Mario.

Did you go and watch The Dark Knight Rises?

    on 03 August 2012

Yeah, Well I haven't played FF14 since Launch and it was bad, so obviously I'm not evaluating on its current state, had gorgeous graphics and art design though.
And I don't like MMO's. Though Old Republic was okay.

I liked Rayman more than any Mario Game in a while too. It was well polished, and the platforming noises enhanced the music.

Yeah I saw it. Did you like it?

    on 03 August 2012

Dood, why are you leaving my hanging ? You told me to show you what losing is, I did.

Hello, Have you played xenoblade? If you did, I'd like to discuss it with you.

< ishiki posted something on A203D's wall:

New Post. I didn't think you would listen to that haha. There's no one like her really.

No, I agree, I think Toriyama is a generally poor writer especially dialogue. Though he has some good ideas. He uses plot devices like "paradox" as an out when he can't put it quite together. I can see how some people absolutely hate it. I'd probably get in trouble with some people for this. But his story's generally remind me of FF5's. Obsurd, but still fun (for me).

I do however, love love the gameplay his games have had X,X-2,Revenant Wings, XIII (though this was too bare bones). I'd prefer he didn't write for the games he directs.

Do you know who wrote 9? The dialogue, the first 20 hours is amazing, 4 or 5, of the main characters are my favorites in FF. I just had other issues with that game.

I have heard, by people that criticized 13-2 story, that Type-0's story is really good (not toriyama).

sorry my post is so ugly. idk what happened.

    on 30 January 2012

Well i'm not sure who wrote FF9. but i'm quite sure Sakaguchi had a lot to do with it. i thought the game was generally very good until the end part with a villain who shows up in the last 30 mins, lol.

i dont think its just Toriyama, i dont know why they decided to strech out one concept (the FNC concept) over 5 or 6 games or whatever it is. it forces the story to be thinned out and less interesting in each game. if the mythology was more focused over say 1 game then the story would be more engrossing. i find myself uninterested in the plot of the FF13 games because we know their will be no conclusion in each game. since the point of FF13 is to be a compilation rather than a single game.

which is probabily for sales i think.

i actully think FF5s story was better than FF4s, tbh. the reason FF4 i think is more popular than FF5 is because of the deeper character development. where FF5 missed a trick.

the story was great though, a strange meteor, two worlds originally as one. that was an amazing feeling travelling to another world and finding those sealed weapons. and finding half of that book. no wonder they could never find the other half, it was on another planet, lol.

    on 30 January 2012

And of course, Gilgamesh's first appearance!

I have an idea. I know you don't like FF8, so much. But FF8 and FF9. the thing about them, is that all the cgi was like a silent movie. Looking back it kind of gave those cgi a really unique artistic quality imo. Even in 12 when the dialogue was really good, The scenes never felt quite the same. So my idea is even more retro. Make a silent FF.

granted, that will never happen because SE wouldn't do that. And even most fans would probably be like "I want voices" but what do you think? haha

    on 25 January 2012

FF8 wasnt bad, my problem is i felt thats where a lot of things started going wrong. i mean the issue was really story/characters/and gameplay. all of which divided fans on so many levels. the time compression wishy washy story, the characters like Squall, the Junction system all had a few problems. that being said FF8 did some things extremely well. the photorealistic touch was very impressive and the Junction/GF system was very deep despite the boring Draw 100 magic thing.

on your point i dont think it will ever happen, lol. but there was a nice artisitic quality to it. even in FF7. but that was also because of Umatesu's score.

personally i feel that voice acting is overated. i think RPGs only need it in cutscenes or CGI. you dont need it all the time. a lot of the time its redudant anyway because i read the dailogue a lot faster that they can speak so i end up skipping most of it anyway. i guess for the CGI scenes its not that important, but i do get what your saying, i just dont think they will make it like that again tbh.

    on 26 January 2012

haha, told you the story of 13-2 wasn't going to work for you >_
This is another song, by that japanese lady. It's oddly composed, my favorite stuff. However some might not like it.

    on 28 January 2012

Yeah thanks for the link, i think i heard something similar to that on the album you recommened. i think shes really good actully. i dont know much about the J music scene, so i'm not sure what the consenus on that is, but i really enjoyed some of those songs. i agree, the juxtaposition of instrumental arrangments is very satisfying on the train.

i'm not sure about the story of FF13-2, i think i've mentioned it before but i think the writing needs an improvement. the unlying concept of the FNC is interesting, but its the execution that holds it back imo.
