Nintendo Developers Warned of a Future With No More Zelda, Star Fox Games

in Nintendo Discussion, last active on on 09 June 2011

http://kotaku.com/5809738/nintendo-developers-warned-of-a-future-with-no-more-zelda-star-fox-games   At Nintendo's Q&A session earlier today, Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that prior to development of the upcoming Skyward Sword, he'd given the franchise team a warning: either it was the best Zelda ever made or there would be no more Zeldas. He also said the same thing to the...

Project Cafe/3DS and the abandoning of the consumer

in Nintendo Discussion, last active on on 03 May 2011

The reasoning of the cafe and the 3DS can only be understood either one of two ways, either Nintendo is stupid enough to repeat its past mistakes, or the consoles were created with the understanding that they are abandoing the consumer.  There are no other explanations for why Nintendo after seeing massive success with the Wii and DS, would throw those strategies and ideals away for the 3DS...

The new system rumors are too fanboyish to be believable

in Nintendo Discussion, last active on on 23 April 2011

The rumors of the next Nintendo system sound too much like a graphics whore fanboy wet dream to be believed, Nintendo abandoning the Wiimote for a tradictional controller with a screen?  Going with Blu-ray?  More powerful than the PS3 and 360?   Seriously, it sounds way too much  like a bunch of graphic whore fanboys got together and just spouted out their craziest ideas....

In order to defeat 3DS, NGP has to be able to negate the software advantage

in Sony Discussion, last active on on 29 January 2011

Its games that sell a system, not hardware, so in order for NGP to have a chance against the 3DS, it has to be able to blunt the 3DS's software advantage, NSMB, Nintendogs, Pokemon, Mario Kart, and Brain age were the reason that DS triumphed so heavily over the PSP, most of those games will see a sequel on the 3DS, probably the biggest of which will be NSMB 3DS, so the question for Sony, is how...

How well do you think Donkey Kong and Kirby will sell?

in Sales Discussion, last active on on 23 June 2010

Just wanted to gauge people's prediction for lifetime sales of the two platformers coming out on the Wii this holiday   My guess is Kirby 3-8 million, and Donkey Kong 7-12 million   I doubt they'll be Hardware drivers though, certainly not on the scale of NSMB Wii, mostly because NSMB Wii likely pulled in a lot of the people who will be interested in Donkey Kong and Kirby....

Where has all the Doom gone?

in Nintendo Discussion, last active on on 17 June 2010

I haven't seen a single article proclaiming Nintendo's doom in days,  I had gotten so used to getting a daily dose of Nintendo doom, and I find this sudden level of Nintendo love from the industry to be quite disturbing.    ...

    NSMB 3DS?

in Nintendo Discussion, last active on on 16 June 2010

Article notes that one of the short 3DS demos at E3 was NSMB, could Nintendo be working on NSMB 3DS (The name would fit well, considering it would be the 3rd NSMB game)? http://www.siliconera.com/2010/06/15/hands-on-nintendo-3ds/...
