Seriously?! Banned again for doing things that so many others (mostly Sony fans) do on a regular basis and get away with?!

      x
Show me one comment from a (Sony fan) who negatively generalized Xbox fans without getting banned or warned.

I think it's more to do with how often he does it rather than the single comment (hence the inclusion of "again" in the ban note).

Personal attacks? Wow, ethomaz or someone reported you for rightfully questioning ethomaz's credibility...

      x
Totally agree. Then again, the moderation on this website is questionable at best; downright infantile at other times like this one.

I thought i was going to be banned for pointing out the same thing later in the thread.

I don't think ban bets are allowed anymore...

Great movie. I actually just bought it on Bluray for my nostalgic collection.

A classic gamer/sci-fi movie! I always hoped my gamer skillz would lead to a job as a glactic fighter pilit, lol.

Your purchase list is scarily similar to mine. Just swap Forza for Assassin's Creed and it'd be identical.

      x
Ya Those are the games I am really looking forward to. I have played Assassisn's creed 1 & 2 and loved them. I just havn't gotten Brotherhood yet, but I'm sure I will eventually. Revelations is looking awesome. Revelations is a game I would love to get, but I just don't think I will be able to afford anmore games outside of my purchase list until next year or they go on sale. :)

Saw you playing Gears 3 last night, you lucky dog. I liked the review! As a much more hardcore fan of the series I will probably enjoy it even more so than what you did so I cannot wait! Also good to know the campaign is pretty lengthy. Now I just need to ask off of work next Tuesday lol

Yeah it's all good. I was just testing a theory to see just how much the mod team is slipping these days. I didn't even get a warning... well not an official one. Suppose Torillian gave me an unofficial one.

There is no lag in DC. What are you trying to call lag? Also, I won't take that bet, because I know JD3 will outsell DC2 and JD3 on Kinect because the franchise's fans are on the Wii and the Wii has the much larger casual audience.

As for fast paced, how can JD3 be faster paced? That's entirely based on the song and the skill level you are playing at, not the game. Play DC on the highest difficulty and it will be just as crazy as any JD game if not more so.

Really the only valid thing I see in your arguments is the part about 4 players being able to play at once instead of just 1 or 2. You can still dance to DC if you aren't being tracked. Also, while you don't have to cheat, you still don't have to nail any of the moves exactly in JD other than the hand position. If you play DC you HAVE to match every movement of all 4 limbs in order to get the best score.

      x
When we all played DC... we could easily see the movement on screen was delayed from what was happening. Did it accurately get all moves, sure, was it perfect 100% no, was it behind our dancing yes. lag.

By faster paced I am more referring to 4players vs one at a time.

Additionally, I don't know what JD you played, but you definitely score a lot better by nailing the moves... timing and accuracy. Especially try playing the MJ Experience game. Far more challenging... and more fun on Wii version over Kinects for same items above.

People don't play video games to become perfectionists at sports, dancing, guitar, etc. They play it for fun. Therefore the slight difference in real body matching on dancing in kinect to overall movement on wiimote... is not important to the masses. The experience is still better on Wii primarily due to more interaction with party.

      on 05 August 2011

      x
That's not lag. That is just a video of what your body is doing. The delay is in the re-visualizing of your body. That video isn't important at all because the body tracking is instantaneous and lag free. That's why the dance moves are instantly judged as "Perfect" or whatnot while the video to the right might not be caught up yet.

Again, not gameplay lag at all.

So basically the only way that JD is better than DC is in the number of people that can play. And that in turn is the basis for your other arguments as far as pace, immersion, and fun.

DC is still the better overall dance game especially given the capabilities of the hardware to track your whole body. Better for casuals? I suppose not, since casuals generally enjoy an easier experience.
