At what point will you consider PSN to be ahead of Xbox Live?

in Gaming Discussion on 27 August 2008

I really don't know. Live updates itself as well so the PSN may never catch up. At least, not this generation. Right now it's only real edge PSN has is that it's free. Believe me, that's a huge perk, but when I compare my experiences on both Live and the PSN, I really feel that this is a case where you get what you pay for. ...

    Fable 2 - Convince me.

in Microsoft Discussion on 27 August 2008

I remember when my friend was playing Fable, he was taking the evil path and was slaughtering the village guards with these hellhounds of his. He was bragging that he didn't really have to do anything after he provoked the fight because the hounds automatically attack anything that they perceive as a threat. So when his wife starts yelling at him for killing the town guards, the Hellhounds tore...

    360 or PS3 graphics better?

in Microsoft Discussion on 27 August 2008

It comes down to the individual games and the resolution of one's television. 1080p isn't the standard yet for games, nor is it the standard for televisions, and that makes it a tough call. Factor in the possibility that when an 'exclusive' makes its way to another system, if enough time has passed there should definitely be a few improvements but that's in the hands of the developer and not...

Do demos hinder or help Sales?

in Gaming Discussion on 27 August 2008

For me, it depends on the game. Playing the demo for Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm convinced me to buy a PS3, but a lousy demo could put people off a bit. But you've gotta bear in mind that a demo is exactly that, and if a demo puts you off of a game that you were looking forward to, I'd say rent it before making the final call. It could really go either way and it depends on the person, but for...

PS4 should not be so powerful next gen?

in Sony Discussion on 26 August 2008

I personally hope for a powerful system, but I also pray that they don't try to force-feed a new format down our throats again. Blu-Ray technology should be nice and cheap at that point so they should probably be able to assemble a real juggernaut without exceeding the launch price of the PS3. ...

    Nintendo Double Standard?

in Gaming Discussion on 26 August 2008

@bdbdbdComparing games to books is a rather unfair comparison, especially with respect to the Mario franchise. In that franchise, there's virtually no storytelling whatsoever. Just a setting. The plot hasn't really changed since the NES days; Mario Galaxy is the same as 64 is the same as Mario World is the same as Mario 3. The games are fun and all, but come on. Sooner or later the plumber...

    Nintendo Double Standard?

in Gaming Discussion on 26 August 2008

I think the big thing is living up to the selling point of the game. Certain genres demand excellent storytelling, while others don't. I've yet to see a fighting game with an inspired storyline and believable character development, but it really doesn't matter. RPGs on the other hand aren't worth touching if they don't have a compelling story to them. With adventure games...things get a bit...

5 Gaming Catagories, which is most important to you?

in Gaming Discussion on 26 August 2008

    1. Gameplay - If the game plays lousy, it's not worth playing.2. Social Aspect - This shifts a bit, depending on the game. I do love my online multi-player though, so this is really important to me. Some genres are exempt, however.3. Sound - While I don't need a beautifully conducted orchestra or an epic soundtrack, I do like my sound functional and immersive.4. Innovation - This is part of...

Do You Think Women Have Been Given Too Much Power In The Western World?

in Politics Discussion on 24 January 2015

"With the feminism culture being so strong in the western world especially the U.S.A do you think that woman nowadays have too much rights and power?" No. They have significantly less political and financial power as their male counterparts and are outnumbered in positions of authority. As for rights, they have the same rights as men, however, they are more likely to be violated than a...

Y DO SOME PEOPLE H8 SONY???????????????

in Gaming Discussion on 14 October 2008

And more importantly, why do some people hate one another based on religion, race or sexual preference? People will always find a reason to let minor differences divide one another needlessly. Fanboyism is just one of many unhealthy expressions of humanity's capacity for self-destruction....

in PC Discussion on 06 September 2008

Personally, I think that the PC needs more representation on this site. True, this is basically a console website, but it would be nice if it branched off into PC gaming as well. The consoles are resembling computers more and more (Well, the Sony and Microsoft consoles, anyways) so I think it's only fair....
