Could 3DS lead to a completely new style of Mario game?

in Nintendo Discussion, last active on on 21 June 2010

Imagine a simple 2D Mario platforming game similar to New Super Mario Bros. for DS. The action is displayed on the 3DS's lower screen and is played like any other 2D side scrolling Mario. Then comes the twist! You come across a glowing pipe leading to the sky, you jump in, the other end of the pipe appears in full 3D on the 3DS's top screen and out jumps a 3D Mario complete with a 3D world...

As promised, here are some predictions for E3, which is kicking off today and getting into full swing next week. Let us start with what I know. A big publisher will present a very promising peripheral for Wii. You might think that all sensible peripherals have been done, but not quite. This one could become quite useful. And, surprisingly, the publisher has managed to secure the support of other...

"Sony’s earnings from TVs will probably improve by 100 billion yen this business year from a loss of 73 billion yen in the 12 months ended March 31, Oneda said. The loss at the Networked Products and Services Group may narrow, helped by demand for electronic readers, Vaio computers and PlayStation3 games consoles, Sony said. The company stopped losing money from PS3 consoles in March and...

    Killzone 2 > MW2

in Sony Discussion, last active on on 01 January 2010

My opinion of course but I've been having a lot more fun with KZ2 than MW2 in the last few days with them. I prefer KZ2's gameplay, controls and presentation but MW2 has more depth, a greater range of environments and an awesome co-op mode. Spec ops is fantastic and it's something KZ2 is sorely missing but I think KZ2 is just more fun to play.  Who agrees? Who disagrees?...
