I think gamecube syndrome is still possible even with this popularity, but I think it'll be close. I personally don't think Nintendo will leave the system out there long enough to catch the PS2 (which is still putting up great numbers, considering one of the nextgen systems is basically in it's third year). I think the Wii will be the most interesting console to watch, I can say that much....
Congratualtions, Sony Playstation! You just hit 4 million units in others! :) Yeah, I'm glad for them, the PS3 is my favorite console by far, they've been good to me for the last ten years. I hope they get past xbox quickly enough in Others, the margins of victory seem to be widening. Now all we need is America *prays for massive outbreak of RrOD* lol...
Hyperion means epic games I think. Not simply based on popularity, but on the same legendary status. Wii sports and nintendogs and Brain Training definitely don't fit that description. Fun, loved by millions, but not epic. No one is debating that Nintendo doesn't have new cool games, but like those......guess not. It will get increasingly difficult to make something like that again,...
